Chapter 3 - Mistake

The group of friends including Naya went back to the place they met the other day after they had eaten breakfasts and prepared some things. When Naya got back at Kyujung's house, all of her friends were helping in preparing for the food. 

Her friends told her they had read her note and asked her why she took so long just to get some fresh air. She just told them she wandered off and saw a classmate before that's just in the neighborhood. They did not ask questions anymore and asked her to help them with the food. And she was thankful because she doesn't want to talk about her talking with Candice. She know it'll shock them and will bombard her with questions. 

When they got back to the place they met last night, Naya remembered Chelsea and went to the school just up and across the street. Entering the gates, she saw that the school looked empty. Where are the people here yesterday? She walked through the small basketball ground area and looked for someone to ask where her friend is. 

She soon spotted a woman in her 30s exiting the room on the small building on the right side with mango trees hovering over it. She walked a bit faster and approached her, asking her immediately if she knew Chelsea and have seen her. 

"Chelsea? What is her surname? Come with me inside. I'm going to check if a person of that name is a student in this school." Naya scratched the back of her head and hesitantly followed her inside the room. 

"But she's not an elementary student. She's a high schooler like me and was just here with a bunch of people for a sleepover yesterday afternoon." 

With what she said made the woman stopped to give her a confused look. "Sleepover? This school does not permit those things to happen especially with outsiders like her. This school is for elementary students." 

"But they were here. And had their sleepover. You should ask Chelsea because she was here yesterday." 

"That must have not happened. If the security guards here saw bunch of outsiders, they will ask them to leave immediately." 

That's strange. She knew yesterday that Chelsea and those students had a sleepover. Her friend was sure of it and was even excited to join it. Maybe they all left early in the morning. Wait, maybe that's why they were such in a hurry entering the school yesterday. She's sure Chelsea wouldn't join in a sleepover that is held in a place they are not allowed. Also, Chelsea.. left without her. 

Naya walked out the room without saying a word to the woman. The woman just shrugged and went on her work. After that, she walked out the room and closed it, passing by Naya who seemed upset. 

She was truly upset. First, Chelsea did not tell her that having a sleepover in this school is not allowed. Maybe she and those students just planned about it and went when there's no teacher or guards around. She's thankful though, that she did not join them. Second, they left early and Chelsea did not even look for her. Third, she left without her. 

Before she left the school, she looked back one more time and stared at the place. She had a feeling  yesterday, that she is not going to see Chelsea and those students for a long time. Does it have to do why she did not see her today? But that was just a feeling and Chelsea surely have left without her and headed home first. 

She sighed and walked on and decides to get back to Kyujung and the others before going back home to talk with them one more time. She is going to miss all of them. Today is the last day she is going to be there and after that, she will live her life back at her place without them. They're going to live different lives and will probably just meet again when there's time. The one week vacation that high school students like them has is ending. 

She went here with Chelsea yesterday because her parents trusted her to go with her. They had been friends since elementary and so when Chelsea is the one going with Naya, her parents will agree. But look, Chelsea went home without her. 

Naya walked towards where her other friends are and thought of when she's going to see them again. However when she got to the place, they are not in there anymore. She looked for them in every place down and across the school. She did not find them. Where could they be? Did they leave already? She just excused herself minutes ago and now she's back, they're nowhere to be seen. Maybe they just went somewhere else or parted ways. 

They could have at least waited for her and so she could say goodbye. Also, her other friend, Frizza's house is very far but Naya and her could have gone together because Naya's house is going to the left side as well as hers. 

Naya sighed deeply. Yesterday, she came here completely excited and wandered in lots of places. But now, she does not feel good anymore. All of her friends aren't there anymore. She went towards a bench under a large tree and sat down. She was lost in her thoughts and did not notice someone sitting down next to her until that person spoke. 

"You are in the wrong place." 

Naya was a bit startled and glanced at the person beside her. It was a young  male, probably older than her for two years. His gaze was set on the school just across. What was he saying? Wrong place? She was startled as he just suddenly appeared. Does he know her? 

"What are you talking about?" She was confused on his statement. And he sat beside her. She does not even know him. 

"You are not where you are supposed to be. There was a mistake." The male still has his gaze on the school and did not glance at her. 

Naya was beyond confused. She does not know what he's talking about and what he means about it. She is not where she is supposed to be and there was a mistake? The guy must have been mistaken her for someone. 

"I do not understand. Maybe you got the wrong person here. I was just looking for my friends to say goodbye before i head back home. Well, i have to go now." She quickly sat up and walks ahead. She was not comfortable talking with the guy. 

Before she could walk far away from the bench the male was sat on, he told her something in a voice loud enough for her to hear. 

"You are inside a story. Everything that happens here are exactly what the author has written."

 Naya stopped in her tracks and widen her eyes. She is inside a story?
