The next morning, Freddie nearly jumped out of his skin when he opened his eyes and saw he was downstairs. He was also shocked to find David and Elton having a coffee each and watching the television.

"Elton...?" He asked, very confused.

"Morning darling." Elton smiled, happy to see him awake. "You fell asleep last night, while I was on the phone. Do you remember?"

"Yes, I remember." Freddie murmured. "Did he answer?"

"Yes." Elton said.

He then went on to explain everything to him, the exact same as he'd just done with David while their friend was asleep. It made Freddie feel a lot better and he was soon sat with a coffee, chatting along with them.

Too bad they couldn't be like that all day.

"Hey, you know who we haven't heard from in a while?" Elton eventually asked.

"Who?"

"Your good for nothing boyfriend, that's who Freddie." He said. "When was the last time you two actually talked?"

It was true, it had been a while. Working it out, Freddie realised it'd been a month. He'd called him the day after the review and since then they hadn't spoken a word to each other.

"The day after the review." He said. "Fuck."

"Why don't you call him?" David asked.

"I will." Freddie said hurriedly. "It's sort of my fault too though, for not calling him either. It's been so long and we've been so busy..."

"Freddie!" Elton butted in. "He hasn't made the effort to call you either and from what it sounds like he's been free to do whatever he likes. If he were a good boyfriend, he'd understand."

"He is a good boyfriend!"

Elton scoffed. "Now you're just being silly."

"He's just directionless and in need of love." Freddie insisted. "I'm going to give him a call."

He rushed off to the phone and quickly dialled Terry's number. It took a while, but he was relieved when he finally answered it.

"What?" Terry spat, in a change from normal.

"Darling, it's me." Freddie said, feeling a little nervous. "It's been so long and I wanted to make sure you were alright."

"I'm fine Freddie, except for the fact you haven't tried to call me once in the last month." He said. "You're so selfish!"

"Well I'm sorry darling, we've been awfully busy and I've tried my best." Freddie sighed. "If you've seen us on the television, you'll know that. I feel so guilty darling, please forgive me."

"You know Freddie, I'm not sure how much longer I can go on with you." Terry said. "You were so desperate for me to pay attention to you and now you don't even have the time to call. You know how I am - how would you expect me to act? Especially when you call me out of the blue like this?"

"Well as far as I'm aware, you haven't tried to get in touch once." He said. "If you needed me, I would've tried my absolute best. We were mostly gone late at night for concerts and things - we had an interview or two and a few promotional things, but other than that you'd probably have caught me."
