1 month later:
Haerin:
As the bell rang Danielle turned to look at me. The second period had ended and we had a ten minute break now. She pointed to the door with her eyes.
"Let's get out of here", she mouthed.
I covered my mouth and let out a little laugh.
We got up and as soon as we were out of the classroom she grabbed hold of my hand as we ran down the hall. Danielle opened the door of a familiar room and pushed me against the wall, melting our lips together. She held my wrists against the wall and pressed her body against mine. I wanted to be stuck in this orange storage room forever and feel her touch. How I wished I knew when we first came here. When we first came upon each other.
The bell had rung and I let out a sigh as she pulled her lips away from mine and moved them to my ear.
"Let's get ice cream after school?"
I laughed a little at thow she could be this cute while having made me feel this way just now.
"Yeah sure"
I kissed her again before we exited the storage room and ran back to our classroom.
Danielle:
I waited restlessly for the last period bell to ring. As it did, I quickly scooped my books into my bag and ran in front of Haerin's desk.
"You're taking so long"
I pressed my chin against the other side of her desk and looked up at her while rolling my eyes sarcastically.
She just laughed and jokingly smacked the top of my head with one of her books.
"Gosh, your so impatient"
Haerin:
Danielle wheeled out her bike and gestured for me to hop on. I climbed over and wrapped my arms tightly around her stomach, pressing my cheek against her back. I felt so safe in her presence. It was as if I hadn't held this feeling for anyone else.
There was a small stall located near a stone wall overlooking a beach. I guess this place was super busy in summer but we seemed to be the only ones here in this cold season. Needless to say, it wasn't quite as cold today. It feels like ever since I've been with Danielle the days have gotten warmer.
I took off her helmet and then mine before hanging them onto each handlebar of the bike.
I waited on the small stone wall and waited for Danielle looking into the sunset.
"Here"
Danielle handed me my ice cream before taking a seat next to me.
"Thanks Dani"
She just ate her ice cream clearly focused on it. I shook my head. This girl.
Danielle turned her head at my laugh.
"What?", She asked, a mouth full of ice cream.
"Nothing. How do you even eat mouthfuls of ice cream?"
She just shrugged her shoulders. Maybe because she's so warm it doesn't bother her.
"..."
"Danielle?"
"Yeah?"
"Have you ever thought about the future?...like what you'll be doing when you're 30 or 50?"
"Hmmm...I think I would be working in that ice cream stall" She pointed to the stall behind us.
"Pffffft" I laughed so hard I almost choked on my ice cream.
"Actually considering how much you like ice cream, I can kind of picture it", I wiped away the tears that were starting to form in the corner of my eyes.
"Hey don't laugh like that, you discourage me" She looked genuinely serious but I just laughed again. She's so cute.
"Anyway, you'll definitely be in my future Haerin"
"Yeah, You will too Dani"
We looked at each other for a moment. She held out her pinky to me and I took it.
