8 years later:

Haerin:

We held our hands, facing each other.

"I do"

Her lips touched mine. A kiss perhaps most unforgettable.

Danielle:

I looked into the crowd trying to spot some old acquaintances.

"Mom, dad!"

They walked over to me and my mom kissed my temple before holding my hands in hers.

"I love you Danielle. I am so proud of you"

My dad looked at me with the smile of a parent.

"Proud of you kiddo"

"I love you both" I pulled them both in for a hug.

As I pulled away, I spotted a familiar face walking towards me.

"Um mum, dad? Do you mind if I talk to some old friends"

"Yeah, go ahead honey"

Yeonjun approached me, a young and beautiful woman next to him.

"Danielle!"

"Yeonjun! so glad you made it, is this your wife?

"Yeji, my fiance, the wedding is planned for the 18th, in 2 months. We're just sending invitations now actually."

"Wow, congratulations!"

I hugged them both.

"Congratulations to you as well Danielle"

"I can see how much you love Haerin, I always did"

He gave me a smile and waved goodbye, turning back to his fiance and walking away with her. I waved back and smiled to myself. So he did.

The crowd started to quiet down and everyone shifted their gazes up to the front. Haerin stood on the stage tapping the microphone to check if it was working. I sat down and turned my body to face her looking into her eyes. She cleared her throat and began to speak.

"I would like to share a message with my beautiful wife, Danielle. Danielle, we met in one of the more unexpected ways to meet your lover I will say"

The crowd let out a small laugh.

"I was lost and wanted that night to be over. It was one I thought I would truly dread. When you walked in, you welcomed me into your world and ever since then, I stayed there not willing to come out. I never will. I didn't know it then, but I still remember that night on the bench by the pool when I realized that I saw you differently. Not as a friend but someone I wanted with me, and on that stone wall I knew I wanted to share the rest of my life with you. I promised you. And I fulfilled that. Danielle, you bloomed feelings inside of me that were once so cold, and for that I love you"

4 hours later:

Haerin:

"You ready Dani?"

"Yeah coming!"

The wedding had finished up just an hour ago and we had arrived home to shower and get changed. This apartment that we shared had been ours since about 4 months ago when we had finished university and decided to move in together, though we might move out in the future.

I felt a hand grab onto mine from behind. I turned to Danielle and kissed her before we walked down to the garage.

Danielle:

I wheeled out my bike and Haerin hopped onto the back hugging me from behind. I never told her but it makes me feel safe when she does that. I never want her to let go.

The weather seemed perfect tonight. A gentle breeze brushed my skin and the evening sunlight shone onto our backs.

"Danielle, I want you forever"

"I'm yours Haerin, forever and for eternity."

THE END.
