Haerin:
I never thought about it that way. I never thought the thoughts that ran through my mind on Saturday night. But I believe them. They are my true feelings. I smiled as my feet took me to school. It felt like I wasn't walking, only my feet were. My mind was in a different world, for I finally understood myself. But would my lover?
Danielle:
As I entered the classroom, I could see Haerin already seated. A truly rare sight. Something seemed different about her. She was daydreaming out the window. I guess some things never change. I dropped my messenger bag next to my desk and took my seat next to her.
"Morning", I said, earning a look from Haerin.
"Oh, yeah...morning"
"You seem a little different today" I reached out my hands and cupped them around her face looking deeply into her eyes.
Haerin:
I could feel my cheeks heat rapidly. Would she notice? I looked back at her unsure of what to say.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?", I replied.
She brought her face closer to mine.
"Hmmmm...yeah I guess you seem fine...let me know if anything is bothering you okay?"
She pinched my cheeks and then retrieved her hands to her lap.
"Yeah, always", I replied.
Throughout the lesson I could hardly hear or rather understand anything the teacher said or wrote on the board. My mind was too occupied with thoughts about Danielle. Does she have a boyfriend? No she would tell me. But does she like girls? What does she think of me? What does she feel for me? My cheeks heated up again. I brought my hands up and slapped them lightly as if it was a punishment. Danielle noticed the action and looked over with a confused expression. I only smiled sheepishly at her.
Danielle:
The school day came to an end and as I wheeled out my bike alongside Haerin. I felt her stiff presence. It was on my mind for the whole day and I tried to brush it away but something just felt different about her. I thought about it but my mind mind ended up drifting somewhere different and couldn't focus on the subject.
"You want a ride today?, I asked Haerin
We lived in complete opposite directions and and so I would usually just ride home myself while haerin would walk her way but occasionally I would give Haerin a ride and then return to my usual route back to my house. We would have extra time that way to talk a little, just the two of us. There was little time in-between breaks and the cafeteria was just way too noisy.
"No its fine...uh...I'll just walk"
"You sure?"
"Yeah, really"
"Okay then, see you tomorrow"
"Yeah"
I turned my bike back to the right direction and climbed on, picking up the pace while moving the pedals. Just as I turned the corner, a figure popped up too close into my view.
"WOAH WATCH OUT", the words immediately came out of my mouth.
"I tried to swerve my bike and as a result ended up on the rocky pavement, a sharp pain felt on my knee"
"Oh my god! Are you okay!?"
I heard the familiar voice and tilted my head up to confirm the person in mind. Yeonjun looked at me with a concerned expression. On my knee could be seen a slight scrape mark.
"Huh, yeah just a little scrape", I said while waving my hand away.
"Stay here, I'll be back in two minutes.
"No wai-"
He was already gone. And just as promised, He returned 2 minutes later with a first aid kit in hand.
"Gee, no need for that, a bandaid will do", I laughed.
"You sure?", He looked serious.
I nodded as he handed me what I requested.
"Funny thing, I was actually meaning to talk to you about something", He said, watching me closely as I applied the bandaid.
"Sure, what is it?", I replied.
"Danielle, I don't know how to say this and I stop myself from doing so everytime I see you but I think I should just stay it now.
"Danielle, I like you"
