Chapter 3

Mia Baker Pov

When we arrived yesterday we were exhausted from the flight so we went to the hotel and rested to have enough energy for today. After waking up I asked Danny and Max if they wanted to have breakfast with me and they said yes.

"How did you sleep?" I asked

"Very good. I slept like a rock." Danny replied excitedly. "And you?" He asked us

"I slept well." We said at the same time

"That's good." Danny said. "Mia, do you think you'll see Carlos?" He asked curious

"To be honest, I don't know. I might be with you, with George or with Lando, but that doesn't mean I won't bump into Carlos." I answered

We finished breakfast and went to the car. While we were in the car we continued to chat and about 10 minutes later we arrived. Before we left the car Danny gave me my paddock pass. We got out of the car and Max and Danny went to take some pictures with the fans and sign autographs. When they finished we entered the paddock.

"I still have a few things to talk to Christian about so I'll stay here, but it was good seeing you again Mia and I will see you later. I hope you have fun." Max told us with a smile

"Thanks Max." I thanked him with a smile back. "See you later and I hope that somehow you also have fun today." I added

We parted from Max and walk a few more meters when I hear the voice of one of my best friends. A smile appears on my face when I see a group of pilots and among them with their backs to us I see George and Lando.

"Hey Lando and George are over there! Let's go over. I have this idea if you agree. So, when we are next to them I hide behind you and you say you have a surprise for them and then I come out from behind you." I explained "What do you think?" I asked

"This is an excellent idea. Let's do it." Danny replied with the same enthusiasm as me

When we were approaching the group we signaled the other drivers not to say anything. When we were already behind George I hid behind Danny.

"Hey guys." Danny greeted. "How are you?" He asked

"Hey Daniel we are fine thank you and you?" they asked

"Me too." Daniel answered. "George and Lando have a surprise for you guys for this weekend and you will love it." Daniel said

George and Lando look at each other and ask at the same time "what is it?"

I come out from behind Daniel and say "surprise"!

"Mia? George asks in surprise. What are you doing here?

"Danny talked to me and convinced me to come to the Monaco gp. When I said yes, I asked him not to tell you that I was coming since I wanted to surprise you." I explained

As the drivers still had some time, we chatted a little longer. Suddenly I hear a familiar voice and when I look to the side I see Carlos... He sees me too and you can see in his face how surprised he is to see me.
