Background of the Study

Our emotional, psychological, and social well-being are all aspects of our mental health. It influences our thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Additionally, it influences how we respond to stress, interact with others, and make good decisions. Having stable mental health is fundamental in every period of one's life, from childhood and adolescence to adulthood.  An individual's academic performance is influenced by their mental health.  According to studies, students with strong mental health typically do better academically, attend class more frequently, and are more likely to graduate than their peers with poor mental health. This study aims to investigate the significance of having stable mental health to the academic achievement of students. Mental health research saves lives, relieves significant distress, and improves quality of life. It also benefits the whole of our society by generating social and economic benefits that contribute to thriving communities built upon resilience, reduced levels of mental ill-health, and less stigma and discrimination.
