Statement of the Problem
The primary objective of this study is to understand how students' mental stability affects their academic performance, what factors contribute to a student's instability, and how to better understand and address one of the challenges that students face in order to study their mental health effectively. The current study was conducted among diverse individuals within the Grade 11 STEM strand in the senior high school department of AISAT College Dasmariñas during the school year 2022–2033. The study's outcome is expected to serve as a foundational framework for validating the impact of one's mentality on their capacity to learn, enhance their creativity, and cultivate productivity.
In particular, research was conducted to obtain answers to the following questions:
1. What is the profile of the students in terms of:
1.1 age;
1.2 sex;
1.3 health condition?
2. How does mental stability affect a student's academic performance?
2.1 behavior;
2.2 relationship?
3. How do students get support from family and friends?
4. How does the academic performance of mentally stable and mentally unstable STEM students differ?
