"Jiwoo, let's go out today." When I got out of bed, I felt so refreshed.
There aren't any problems with my mother anymore and I've gotten 3/4s of my memory back. The only memories I'm missing are from my last year in university. During that year, was that the time when I met Jiwoo?
It was a such a nice day that I wanted to go out today so I asked Jiwoo if he had some time.
"You wanna go out?" Jiwoo puts down his book. I always see him in the house either reading a novel, watching dramas or doing work. I'm kinda worried about that. Does his life only revolve around novels and work?
"Yeah. It's a nice day today and I want to thank you and apologize for yesterday so..." my voice trails off. I suppose he gets what I mean already.
"Alright. Let me get ready. Where are we headed?"
"Oh, well..." What does Jiwoo like to do...? Well that question should be given since It's pretty obvious what he likes.
"I saw in tv that there's a romance movie they're showing today. I was thinking that maybe you wanted to go watch or something?"
"Sure. That's fine with me." Jiwoo peeks in the open door of my room. "Ah, I remember. I forgot something in your room yesterday." He got off the couch and walked in my room. I followed him.
Hmm... Since when have I been comfortable with him entering my room? I guess it just happened.
While Jiwoo went to take his hat from my desk, he knocked over a pile of books from the top shelf with his head. He's too tall. And he's hard headed... literally and figuratively.
"Huh? What are those?" I eye the books that fell down. I never look at my top shelf since I wasn't really interested on whatever was on there.
I remember it broke once because Heejae also knocked over it and since I didn't know how to fix a shelf, I just winged it. And surprisingly, it worked pretty well; only if you don't touch it.
I squat down and notice that the books were all romance novels. "Jiwoo, you should've asked for permission before using my shelf!"
"They're not mine. Aren't those yours? And they're pretty dusty too." He sneezes. Aww, what a cute sneeze. It's like a rabbit. Although, I don't know if rabbits even sneeze...
Mine? "No, I don't remember reading these." Did I ever buy one?
'Ah, Heejung, do you remember this? You used to read romance novels.' When I was discharged from the hospital, Heejae kept taking care of me. And then when several books toppled over him, he told me that I used to read romance novels.
Was I that kind of person...? No, I wasn't. I... bought these novels so I could understand Jiwoo and talk about novels with him before. Harlequin novels, at most.
But some of these...
"Ahh... Some of these are mine." Jiwoo picked up some books which I assume he owned from before. "I often left them here before."
So he also remembered. That's good.
"And there was also that one time where you were talking about how long kisses would last. Five hours at least. That was pretty simple of you to believe those books." I laugh. Jiwoo didn't understand the human world's culture that much and only relied on the knowledge of books. Now, he really knows the reality.
Wait, did I just say 'human world'?
"I get it, I get it. I was gravely mistaken so stop laughing." He shot me an irritated look but I didn't stop.
