*WIZARD*
"Well, well... I'm surprised you didn't tell her. Well, not like she'll remember anyway." I laugh and the rabbit glares at me like he always does.
"Don't be like that. I kept my end of the promise so you better keep yours." I smile, tremendously amused.
It was fun to see her in complete agony trying to clutch on to the very being that she won't remember.
"Let's review our bargain. Her contract will be retracted. Once my game with her will have ended after the four seasons, the both of you will continue to live on earth but you cannot chase after her nor tell her anything. And the price for your proposal is... The heroine's and the other beings' memories of you."
The rabbit's answer was just silence. I suppose he's in complete despair right now.
"You know..." I decided to change the topic. "When you were with her, you were allowed to give her signals and signs in order to regain her memories. The question remains: Why didn't you do it?" I wasn't exactly curious but still amused by his actions.
The rabbit's lips gently curve into a proud grin. "Isn't it obvious?"
"You really do hate me with all your guts, don't you?"
"You don't say." He snorts.
"Well, time moves ever onward. I believe it's time to bid farewell. Until next time when you've yet to make another wish."
But of course, we'll have to see how the ending of this story unfolds...
*HEEJUNG*
"Heejung, are you okay now?" Nick opened the door to my room.
"Nick?" I sat up. "Why are you in my house?" I'm pretty sure Nick should be in Japan right now.
He rolled his eyes over to the side. "Well, about that, even we don't know."
"'We'? What do you mean by 'we'?" I try to recall what happened last night but nothing comes up.
"Bryce, Etinos and Edison are here too. I think that... We were looking for you yesterday night then we found you in the park sleeping on the grass. I can't remember much. My head feels all fuzzy."
Last night? I can't... Oh. "I remember I went out to the park to gaze at the stars and then I fell asleep, I think."
My memory is also hazy but I'm pretty sure it went that way.
"Oh, right! You're right, right. You took us in about 5 months ago (?) because we had to stay somewhere near our workplaces."
"What? No, that's wron-... right." What Nick said sounded so wrong in my heart but my mind is 100% sure that it's right so... what's with the uneasiness that I'm feeling?
Bryce popped in and waved. "Foodgiver, we're leaving now. We found places to stay at after all. See you around." He pointed outside and I nod reluctantly.
"Y-yeah... See you guys around." I wave back and they all immediately leave.
I wonder why I was star gazing? I'm not even a fan of looking at the stars.
I feel like something is missing...
"Oh, shoot. I gotta head to work today!" I realized that it was already late when I took a look at the clock.
I immediately got of bed and washed myself up for the day.
"I'll be going now!" I greet to the empty space in the living room.
Geez, what am I doing? I live alone.
I close the door of my apartment and head to the museum.
"Am I late?" I ran to my manager who checked his watch.
