It's been a few weeks since... The incident. There, Arthur accidentally saw Merlin's eyes beaming in an unnatural color. Gold.
Even though the eyes might be beautiful, Arthur knew what those eyes mean.
It's the sign of evil. The same kind of eyes his sister has. At least when she is using the hand of the devil and using magic.

At first, Arthur tried to sweep the sight of Merlin's golden eyes away as exhausting or due stress. 'Cause he only saw the eyes in a blink of an eye, and then they were gone.
But... He couldn't let go of the unpleasant feeling. That, he hadn't seen wrong.
And the more he started thinking about a few odd situations with Merlin, the more sure he got. Merlin has magic in his veins.
Magic he has been using over the time when he has been around him.

Arthur shudders.
There is no way Merlin could be the same as Morgana. Right?
There isn't any chance, Merlin is only tricking him with promises of love and friendship, where he later would betray him. Like his own sister did out of greed.
Could Merlin and Morgana work together?
The king shakes the head over that thought.
No way, those two could be a team... Or?

Arthur's head is filled with a lot of thoughts that he almost didn't notice the brick who falls from above. From the wall of the castle.
It was by luck that his eyes looked upward while he tilted the head up.
The king furrows the eyebrows and squints the eyes to look at the weird silhouette.
Despite the early spring-sun's rays are very harsh in the eyes, he still manages to figure out the weird silhouette isn't a bird.
The moment the 'bird' gets bigger, he understands it was a brick. And it was falling swiftly toward him.

Arthur gasps and throws himself away from the spot, where the brick a few seconds later crashed.
The man grunts loudly when his stomach thuds hardly at the ground, whose grass peeks up between his gloved fingers.

The confused man looks over the shoulder at the large brick whose edges are cracked from the fall.
Then he rolls around onto the back, where he sits up and looks curiously up at the wall.
"... How?.." he mumbles and tries seeing any movements from up there. No way, that brick fell by its own?... Or maybe the walls in Camelot need proper maintenance.
If so... He really needs them fixed right away. It wouldn't be very good having half fallen walls if any war would occur.
It would almost be like having the gate opened and with a welcome squad ready for the enemy... Okay, maybe it's not the same. But... Their defense wouldn't be waterproof if the walls were falling apart.

When Arthur couldn't see anything weird from the ground, he stood up and dusted the clothes with the gloved hands.
"... That was ... Weird..." he clears the throat and walks away.

Gaius is doing his round in the village, where he asks his patients how they are feeling. And eventually handing out more medicine to them.
Merlin walks thoughtfully after him. Like some good dog who follow his owner. A good dog who isn't doing much of noise.
Which makes Gaius suspicious and worried.

The old man walks out of a house where he wishes the woman a good day.
Then he closes the door and looks asking at Merlin who waited outdoors.
He sighs.
" Alright, Merlin..." he says with the eyes looking firmly at him.

The brunette had started walking few steps when he halted due Gaius' few words.
Merlin hums and looks curiously up at him. With a tired look on the face.

Gaius swallows.
"... You have been behaving very odd lately... " he starts pointing out where Merlin stiffened.
"... And I want to get an answer from you... What's on your mind?... " he adds and tilts the head where long strands of hair stroke over the shoulder.

The young warlock swallows hardly and chuckles nervously.
"... W-what's on M-my mind?... " he starts asking and gets a nod from his only father figure he has ever grown up with.
".... I-I... Ehm... N-nothing..." he lies.
