A day flew by, and he did study,
Explaining that the book was his best buddy.
Another day passed, and he stayed still
With his immensely strong will.
A week flew by, and resistance came,
Simmering replaced the once-grand flame
That represented what he could do.
He continued, but began turning blue.
A month's progress, and he grew sick,
However, he believed some rest'd do the trick
And push him back on the desired track
- it never did. He became one of a pack.
