Once upon a time,
She obsessed over every rhyme
- what talent it must've been
To reuse a well-known evergreen.
Once upon a decade,
All was a sin she forbade;
Nothing not hers could ever be done right
Unless preceded by a lost fight.
Once upon a single day,
She realized she herself had to pay
For her own words, for her own kills...
Suddenly quiet, she turned to apologies as a way of paying bills.
