"I want to do what we're doing just with each other."
"No."
I'm battling my addiction.
I'm fighting giving up.
I've been stolen before,
By one I love.
Broken by pain,
Or relishing freedom.
Whatever the reason,
I need you to be patient.
"I'm down."
*2 months later*
"Okay, I'm ready now."
Nothing serious, one step next.
Not a partnership for the ages,
But one drawing a deep breath.
Let time heal its wounds,
With care between souls.
No rushing ahead,
Turning one another cold.
Unsure where this leads.
Unwilling to rush.
Is this it?
Patient to call it love.
