That was eventful - to say the least.

I've wanted to find my mate for as long as I could remember but I hadn't intended to find my mate in the form a man - a wolf that's been raised around humans, who knew nothing of my world.

Not to mention, the history of my father and his first mate being bound to my mate's father and losing her all the same, at least now I know where his anger stemmed from.

Vice never loved me and he never loved my mother, we were the never ending burdens in his life that replaced the love of his life - his fated mate, Lena.

There wasn't much left to say as we all gave our goodbyes to Dr. Malachi Hall - the man who would in one week from today, bring my mate to my pack.

The thought of Romello being a man was still something that I would have to get used to as it took me by surprise, but the fact that he had a dick hadn't stopped me from wanting him.

Any good Alpha - any man who's confident in himself could have a mate of the same gender, something that they have never found themselves attracted to and make it work because that's what fate and the Moon Goddess wanted and to reject your mate just because of their gender was like rejecting the Moon itself.

And that's something that I would never do, so I was going to try and make this work if Romello would have me.

Stepping out of the shower, I grab one of my towels, wrapping it around my waist and with the other, I begin to dry my hair as I walk into my bedroom.

Enzo already under the blanket in my bed as he enjoyed the pizza we ordered about thirty minutes ago and the movie that he so eagerly chose.

Another fucking chick flick.

This guy man.

"Enzo, turn on something else man," I growl walking out of my closet, now dressed in a pair of shorts before climbing into bed next to my bestfriend. "I'm not watching these girly ass movies all night."

Grabbing a piece of pizza and the beer that Enzo passes me, I hear him whine about having to turn the movie.

"Come on, Titus," He groans as he hands me the remote. "Don't turn on anything scary."

"Why not?" I chuckle, going to the horror section of our movie app on purpose.

Enzo whines even further, mouth full of pizza. "No, nothing scary, you know how I get."

"That I do," I agree, shaking my head and taking a bite of my pizza. "I've never met a grown ass man as scary as your ass."

"I'm not scary," Enzo argues, glaring my way and when I raise a challenging brow, he quickly changes his tune. "Ok, fine but nothing too scary, I'll be up all night."

"And to think that you're my Beta," I scoff, playfully shoving his shoulder, making him spill his beer. "The pack is doomed to have you lead if I ever die."

"That's not funny," He growls, all playfulness gone as he narrows his eyes at me. "Don't say shit like that, I wouldn't know what I would do without you, Titus."

Putting my hands up in surrender, I nod. "Ok, my fault, you're pissy tonight, are you going to tell me what's going on? Or about why you left the human hospital and never came back? That was foul."

Enzo shrugs, shaking his head. "I told you to drop it, Titus, it's not worth it, I just had a headache, that's all."

Grabbing another piece of pizza, Enzo bites into it and turns his attention back to the tv, even with his back to me now, I study his frame and the way that his muscles had now grown tense.
