What if Y/n is a from a Na'vi clan who physically cannot mate with others Na'vis from other clan. Due to a mutation, he cannot mate with a Na'vi but it didn't got found out until they were ready to mate. (Jake Sully x Male reader)

Y/n came into the village right after Jake. Jake was treated as an outsider by the clan but Y/n was treated as a special guest. Y/n is also a researcher so he would study Jake close. Y/n was more explorative than other Na'vis and more cooperative. As they did testes on him, he did his test on Jake.

During those testing that Y/n developed a friendship with Jake. Soon it turned into mutual attraction and Y/n started courting Jake. He went out hunting for Jake. cook him for him, clean for him and generally takes care of him.

Y/n waited for the mate bomb, jake knew Y/n likes him. He always reminded Jake that he is courting him. After the war and rebuild of the Omitikiyans. Y/n would dance around that aera. He sure wants Jake to be his mate but it will mean that he wouldn't be apart of the Omitikiyans which he is accepted.

Y/n finally dropped the bomb when Jake said he wanted to get more serious than this courting.

Y/n was beyond thrilled when Jake accepted to be his mate but he still have one thing to do before they actually mate. They need to find a place to live. Which village? Y/n's or Jake's?

Jake is willing to live anywhere as long as he was with him and it was the same for Y/n. But Y/n knew that taking him back to his village where they are unfamiliar with Avatars might cause Jake troubles so they just stay with the Omitikiyans. Neytiri, the new Olo'eyktan was more than happy to have them both stay here forever. Y/n is literally Neytiri's cousin after all.

Y/n's village doesn't want them to leave as well so they decided to be in both Na'vis clans.

But where should they mate though? In front of the Omitikiyans' tree or Y/n's tree.

Y/n and Jake had different ideas but Jake wanted to mate at Y/n's Spirit tree and live at Omitikiyans. Neytiri and Tsahik were okay with it and the other chief and Tsahik as well.

Y/n agreed and took Jake toward his village and his clan's spirit trees. Instead of having vines that are glowing like Omitikiyans, The branches were the one that were glowing. Y/n and Jake have to climb and sit down on one of the tree branches. Each leaves were as big as a Na'vi and that is where the memory is held. The middle part of the leave is where you connect the queues.

Y/n and Jake took a deep breath as they connected their queues, hoping to be bonded for life but in Jake and Y/n's horror, everything started hurting. Every nerves were on fire, Jake was hardly noticable but Y/n was in extreme pain. When Jake noticed Y/n's pained experssion and the way he was clawing onto his thigh, he wanted to break the bond off but Y/n insisted to bare the pain thinking it will passed but it didn't, the pain got worse and Jake felt nothing, he didn't felt any connections.

Their heart broke when they have to disconnect the queue to help Y/n. When it did, y/n started crying. Jake hugged his man who hugged back tight, apologizing to him constantly but Jake kept reassuring to him that it's okay and it's not his fault.

Y/n clang into Jake like a baby monkey. He doesn't want to show his face to anyone and he wanted to leave this place immediately after what happened to him and Jake. He felt so ashamed and guilty. Guilty toward Jake, after all the promises, he couldn't mate with Jake.

Jake carried Y/n back to the Omitikiyans where Neytiri and the Tsahik were there to welcomed them but they frowned when they saw Y/n's state. Y/n was carried by Jake, there were hiccups and sobs coming from Y/n and Jake's sour expression.

When they are at home, he laid Y/n gently down on the hammock but Y/n got up and took Jake's hands. He started crying again.

" I am so sorry, Ma Jake. I'm so sorry. " The sound of Y/n's heartbreak increased in volume. Jake pulled Y/n's into a hug, Y/n sat on his lap with his legs wrapped around his waist. Jake hummed, combing through Y/n's hair, trying to clam Y/n down.

" It's okay love. It's not your fault. "

" But mating is the most special time, a Na'vi could experience and I- I couldn't give you that one special experience... It's just... " Y/n started crying even more. Jake hummed.

" In human culture, we don't use queue to finalized the love. We just finalized it. No queue, no bonding, no mating, no nothing. Just me and you loving eachother. " Y/n sniffled as he looked at Jake.

" But what about your experience? "

" I don't care about experience, all I care about you loving me until the very end." Jake said putting his forehead against Y/n.

" I love you even after death. I will always love you, Ma Jake. "

" I will always love you as well, Ma Y/n. "
