"Awe! You did me dirty!" Derek groans, as I start to replace the chess pieces. "Honey, I didn't do anything, you just aren't good enough" I tease. "The only reason I'm playin this game in the first place princess is because you begged me" He chuckles, I scoff at him, "I did not beg you, I asked and you complied!" I protest, laughing as I put the last chess piece on the board. "We've got a case" JJ calls from the top of the stairs. Derek and I share an unamused groan before getting up. "So, how does it feel to get your ass kicked by Y/N?" Spencer teases, as the three of us walk to the round table room. I hear a scoff from Derek before we sit down. "Alright JJ, what do we have?" Hotch asks as he walks in, "four men have shown up in the woods within the past 2 months. All four have blunt force trauma to the head." She states, flipping through the pictures. "Do we know so far what the men have in common?" I question through the end of my pen that I've been chewing on. "Nothing yet." She answers. "Wheels up in 30." Hotch states, and we all leave. "Do you ever get a bad feeling about cases?" I question as I walk beside Spencer. "We all do, it's one of the cons of this job" He answers with his normal nerdy tone. "Right.." I mumble, grabbing my stuff from my desk. "Are you alright?" He asks, I look up at him trying to keep a calm face. "Yeah.. Yeah I'm fine" He raises his eyebrow at my quick response but shrugs it off. I walk through the glass door, pressing the elevator button. "Hey baby girl" I jump at the quick words, my heart rate picking up a bit. "Woah, you alright?" I nod quickly, as we both step into the elevator. "Derek, are you getting a bad feeling about this case?" I ask, chewing the skin inside my mouth. "It's part of the job kid, we all do." He answers with a small shrug. "I get that. But I usually don't get these feelings about these cases.." I continue. We walk out of the elevator. "You're losing me princess. What's this about?" We get to the van, I take a deep breath before climbing in the passenger seat. "I don't know.. I'm lost about this myself.. I just feel like something bad is going to happen." I sigh, listening to the jingle of the keys as he puts them in the ignition. "The worst that's gonna happen is that this guy kills more people and commits suicide by cop." I scoff as he continues to try and calm me down, "No Derek, the worst that can happen is one of us dies or gets seriously hurt!" I shout, anxiety pooling over me. "That's not going to happen." He tries to reassure. "You don't know that! I got shot twice, Morgan! Twice! I almost died the second time! Hell I did die! In your arms!" I yell, throwing my hands in the air. "Garcia! You need to calm down! The most we can do is hope that it doesn't happen. This is our job, we have to accept that we can't save everyone." He shouts back. I chew on the inside of my cheek again, contemplating if I should say anything. "You're right.. I just.. I'll take a nap on the jet after we brief everything." I sigh, letting stress lift off my chest. "Yeah. I think you need that. We need your head in this case." He stops the van, turning it off as he looks at me. "You're a good agent. Don't let this get to your head." He continues. I nod quickly, stepping out of the vehicle. I grab my go bag, slinging it across my shoulder. I walk in front of Derek, my thoughts flooding my head. I walk up the stairs, the cool air of the jet hitting my skin, with the smell of freshly polished leather. I routinely sit with the normal group. But this time I sit next to Spencer again. Something about this case is telling me to hold him close, not to let him out of my sight. His nose is in a book, typical for every jet ride. Emily sits next to Derek, she has a confused look on her face. I tap my head, signaling I'll tell her later. We both have a quick easy language of communication so the others don't know. "Are you guys using your secret language again?" Derek questions with a smug smirk on his face, "Maybe, but that's the point gorgeous. You're not supposed to know" I wink playfully, getting a toothy smile from him. "You're getting good at this, pretty boy should take a couple lessons." He laughs, "Huh?" Spencer looks up from his book, the only thing processing in his head is that he heard pretty boy in a sentence. "Nothing my love, just read your book." I giggle teasingly. I get a group of 'ooo's' from JJ, Emily, and Derek. "You act like we haven't been together for six months." I breathily laugh, noticing a small smirk on Spencer's face. "Well look at you Reid, your face is red" Derek points out, all three of us girls gasp, along with Spencer's head shooting up in panic, "What? N-no!" He protests. We all laugh at him, the tension that has been building in my chest slowly leaving.
