Chapter 18

~~~Natalie's pov~~~

I sit on his bed as he goes back into his closet to look for another shirt.

"Babe you'll be fine" I tried to convince him.

He turns to look at me, his shirt is unbuttoned leaving his chest on display and he just has his boxers on.

We're having a BBQ at my grandparents house in a little bit and he's meeting a lot of my family so he's nervous.

Now that I work with my grandma, and my grandpa comes to have lunch with us, I told them about Dec and they said they wanted to meet him, then they told my grandma Sarah and grandpa Ryan and they said the same thing.

All together he'll be meeting both sets of grandparents, my aunt's and uncles along with my cousins.

He's been trying to find a shirt for the past 10 minutes since he wants to make a good first impression.

He blows out a breath and runs his hands over his face. "I know, I'm too much in my head" He said.

I got up off the bed and made my way over to him.

"Dec you need to relax because my parents love you and the rest of my family will too, ok?"

He kissed me. "Ok" He said.

"Good. Why don't you go with the navy blue polo with your tan shorts? The shirt always makes your eyes pop."

He leaned his forehead on mine. "See this is why I'm with you" He said.

I laughed. "For my fashion sense?"

"No... For your ability to get me out of my head and make me think rationally" He said.

I pecked his lips. "I love you."

He smiled. "I love you too Nat."

I stepped back and grabbed his clothes and handed it to him.

"Ok, why don't you get ready and I'll check on Wyatt."

"Ok babe" He said.

When I check on Wyatt he's in the bathroom combing his hair, he's wearing what he wore at his preschool graduation.

After we're all done getting ready we head over to my grandparents neighborhood.

We pull up to my grandparents house and there's very little parking.

I see everyone is here except for my cousin Beau, his wife Amelia just had their second child so they're taking it easy.

I grab the pasta salad I made and we make our way through the back gate where everyone is.

"There they are!" Grandma said.

~~~Katie's pov~~~

Josh and I walk over to Natalie and the man with a little boy.

I hug and then Josh does.

"Hi grandma and grandpa, I'd like you to meet Declan and Wyatt. Boys this is my grandma Katie and my grandpa Josh" She introduced us.
