22. "Before He Cheats - Carrie Underwood"

Will and Mike woke up at the same time to a loud knocking on the door.
"What time is it?" Will asked sleepily.
"Ummm" Mike looked at Will's alarm clock. "Crap 10:30. Looks like we had a lie in." Mike said chuckling.
"A well deserved one, Jesus Christ. Yesterday was..."
"Intense."
"Yeah. Let someone else get the door. Let's just stay here for a while." He said when he felt Mike getting up.
"Okay. But it's been a while surely someone would've got it by now."
"They will. Don't worry."
"Okay then." Mike said snuggling up to Will again.

The knocking continued for a minute or so.
"I'm sorry babe but I cannot relax with that pounding. I'm getting the door. Why hasn't anyone got it yet." Mike muttered the last sentence whilst walking out Will's bedroom door.

"Why hasn't anyone got it?" Will became skeptical. He left his room and started to walk around. He wasn't really paying attention though, he was thinking about how Mike called him 'babe'. Yes they had been dating for a bit, but it felt real now. It felt solid. Will got pulled out of his thoughts when he realised no one was home. They had left without saying anything. To be completely honest, they had probably gone into the boys room, but they didn't wake up.

Will started walking up to Mike.
"Who is it?" Will asked. He assumed it wasn't anyone they knew as Mike hadn't invited them in.
"Lucas." Mike said. He turned to Will and getsured for him to come to the door.
"How about you both come to me? We'll go to my room."
"Oh yeah. Come in. Will's in his room."
"Eventually! I thought I was gonna be stood out there forever."
"Sorry dude. I completely forgot about letting you in." Mike said laughing.
"Wow, thanks." Lucas said laughing.

The two went to Will's room and Mike sat down on the bed.
"You not gonna sit?" Mike asked.
"No thanks. Um... Max told me." Lucas said looking to Mike then Will.
"Told you whaaaaat?" Will said in a high pitched voice and dragging out his 'a'.
"You two are dating. Max told me." Lucas said looking Will dead in the eye. Will was about to answer when his radio went off.
"EVERYONE TO STEVE'S HOUSE! NOW!" Dustin's voice echoed through the room.
"Oh shit." Mike said giggling. Then the radio went off again.
"DON'T BRING EL! EL DON'T COME!"
"Dude you don't have to yell." Steve said to Dustin before he turned the radio off.
"Ok, me and Mike have to get changed so, um, Lucas some privacy please?" Will said standing up and walking over to the closet. Lucas left the room and closed the door behind him then waited for the two boys to finish.

Mike and Will walked out of the room, changed, and with Will's radio.
"You brought your bike, right?" Will asked. Lucas nodded and left the house. Will quickly wrote a note for his mom, stuck it on the front door and locked it.
"Let's go" Mike said hoping on Will's bike. Will wasn't strong enough to peddle the two of them to Steve's house. Will stood on the pegs then held on tightly to Mike's shoulders.

Once they got to Steve's, Max, Dustin, Robin, Eddie and Steve were already there. Steve and Eddie were talking and getting close on the couch, Max and Robin were drinking and chatting, and Dustin was pacing.

"Finally, you're here." Dustin said walking over to the boys.
"Yeah, we came as soon as we heard you're message." Lucas said walking over to Dustin. He pulled a 20 dollar bill out of his pocket and gave it to Lucas.
"Here." He said as Lucas took it. The boys had a bet in 6th grade that if Mike and Will were to get together, Dustin had to give Lucas $20, and if it just stayed an awkward tension between the boys for the rest of their lives (well the money was owed once they graduated) then Lucas had to give Dustin $20.
"Thanks Dustin." Lucas said smiling like crazy.

"Hey! You guys get your asses over here." Dustin said, mainly speaking to Steve and Eddie. Robin and Max walked over, cups in hand and Steve and Eddie walked over giggling and basically holding hands.
"Ok. So. Mike and Will. Dating. Mike with El. What's going on?" Dustin said.
"Well basically I realised I was gay when me and Will had an argument and it like broke me. Had sex with him. Didn't tell El and was keeping it secret. Was going to break up with her then tell her. My dad found out, kicked me out. I started living with Will. El found out and got mad and now we are here." Mike said taking a deep breath after he was done.
"Holy shit you two had sex." Eddie said. "I'm twenty and I just had sex for the first time." Steve smirked when Eddie finished his sentence and Robin just grimaced.
"Well, what was it like then?" Eddie asked.
"EDDIE! That's not why they're here!" Steve said.
"Why are we here?" Will interuppted.
"El." Steve and Dustin said in unison.
"El?" Mike asked.
"Yes. El."
"Yeah I think we all know her name. Stop saying it and tell them why they're here already." Robin said, over the back and forth.
"Right, yeah. Well El has...she did something. Something bad." Dustin explained.
"Holy crap! What did she do?" Max asked wanting to know the details.
"She went to your house, Mike. Nance called me and told me what's happened." Steve said
"What the fuck?!" Mike asked. He was stressing out at this point. He didn't know what El would do. He knew what she was capable of and what she knew, and she had the power to ruin any chance of a relationship with his family that he had left.

"It's not THAT bad." Steve said. It sounded like he was not only trying to reassure Mike but also himself.
"Just spit it out. I'm invested now." Lucas said.
"Dude. Not a game. This is serious. What did she do?" Mike asked, calmer now.
"Well, like I said, nothing bad, but..." Steve paused. "I don't wanna say it."
"Jesus Christ she went to your house and started to wreck your room." Robin said.
"WHAT?! HOW DID SHE GET IN MY ROOM?!" Mike was not so calm anymore.
"Well, Karen answered the door and figured you were still friends and she was picking something up for you. She let El in and she went to your room and...yeah...she let loose." Steve started to explain. "Nance and Jonathan pulled up after they saw her go in- they were getting all your stuff to bring to Will's. Nance said your room's a mess. Like, your closets broken, your bed is destroyed, the phone in there had blown up. It was chaos."
"Sounds like she let her powers get the better of her. I should find her." Max said before grabbing her coat.
"No need. Nancy stayed with her. Apparently she was crying in the corner once Nancy got in there so she just sat with her." Dustin added.
"Okay. I'm going there. Thanks for the drinks Steve. Do you want me to take anything when I leave Mike?"
Mike thought for a second. "Um, no thanks, I think Nancy will bring everything I need. Thanks for the offer though."
"No problem. Call your house if you change your mind."
"Will do." Mike smiled. He was happy Max was still his friend even though him and El weren't exactly on good terms. He truly did not like her at first but grew to accept her as one of the clan.

Max left soon after and pressumably went to Mike's house.
"So...what now?" Eddie asked trying to diffuse the tension.
"I don't know. But I need to do something I'm stressing the fuck out here."
"I don't know what you can do, but I just want to let you know that I support you, man. You do you. We kinda guessed this would happen anyways." Lucas said chuckling.
"Well if you knew, you could've told me!" Mike said laughing. Everyone else burst out into laughter. After a few minutes of calming down Mike spoke up.
"No, actually though, thanks dude. But how did you know, I didn't even know." Mike asked intrigued by what Lucas meant.
"I mean me and Dustin had a bet. That's why he gave me a 20 earlier."
"DUDE!!" Dustin exclaimed. "That was meant to be a secret from them forever!"
"It's fine, they don't care, do you?"
"No, it's funny." Will said laughing to himself. "I can't believe you bet on whether we would fuck or not."
"God, Will! Don't put it like that, it sounds creepy!" Lucas was now grimacing to himself.
"I know that's why I said it." Will said laughing harder. Everyone was now dying of laughter. Lucas and Dustin felt dirty for their bets however.

"We support you too!" Eddie said excited.
"Um Eddie? You're just one person." Robin said, sounding slightly concerned for the boy in front of her.
"No, me and Steve. Were practically one person anyways." Eddie said unbothered.
Steve went red however and went to the toilet to hide from everyone.
"Any of you bet on that?" Robin whispered to the four boys. They shook their heads and all started snickering as Steve walked back in.
"God I just meant I'm always here and we think the same anyways. Steve likes my company, don't ya big boy?"
"Yep." Steve said walking away again in embarrassment.

The phone rang about 10 minutes later.
"Hello?" Steve answered.
"Hey Steve. It's Max. I'm at Mike's. Get everyone. They need to be here." Max said from the other side of the phone.
