When Annabeth walked into the cafe, Thalia was already and rapidly typing in her screen. She walked to their table and leaned over to read whatever she was doing.
Thalia jumped at her sudden presence and immediately locks her phone.
"Annabeth! Jesus, your scared me."
Annabeth eyed her carefully and sat across from her. "I scared you? What were you doing, it seemed pretty important."
"Just finished up some work," Thalia waved her off. "You know how professors are."
Neither of them believed the lie but Annabeth didn't call her out.
She didn't want to do with anything Thalia was doing. As long as it was legal, Annabeth won't bother.
Thalia's phone dinged with a new notification and they both looked at the device.
Pocketing the phone, Thalia just smiled and said, "let's go order some food."
