The bubonic plague (Black Death)

Ok, so. Idk if any of you are history lovers, but I am.

So do you guys know "Ring around the rosie?"

If you do, I bet you didn't know it represented one of the deadliest plagues in Europe during the 1300s

It's called the Bubonic (I think) plague, or "The Black Death"

The ring around the rosie rhyme represents it.

Ring around the rosie: The rashes the people got. The rashes were a circle shape and itchy as fuck.

Pockets full of posies: They thought that these flowers would heal them. Spoiler alert: the flowers didn't do shit.

Ashes ashes: Represents how the bodies were burned and how their skin would turn an ashy color.

We all fall down: You're literally falling down. You're dead.

The plague was caused by fleas, rats, and animal stings and spread all the way to Africa and Asia.

Don't worry babes, it extremely rare today. There's less than 1000 cases a year.

In October 1347, a ship came from the Crimea and Asia and docked in Messina, Sicily. Aboard the ship were not only sailors but rats. The rats brought with them the Black Death, the bubonic plague. Reports that came to Europe about the disease indicated that 20 million people had died in Asia.

This mfing plague lasted from 1347-1900s in the whole world.

In Europe it only lasted from 1347-1351.

This plague is the most dangerous one and it killed the most people.

75-200 million ppl died bc of The Black Death.

The Black Death was also known as the darkest plague.

Just some history shit for you bc I love learning Abt this plague, I think its so cool.

People would get fevers, chills, diarrhea, terrible aches, pain, it caused swelling in the lymph nodes, and weakness.

The rashes (that looked like circles and were hella itchy), there were sores that could get like rly big and itch. People would puke and cough so much to the point where they would puke blood and cough their lungs up. (I'm fr, like seriously they coughed their lungs up)

This plague was hella insane.
