Ghost: Piers Nivans

(TW: Angst, Character Death, Implied Suicide at the end) (Spoilers).
Finding out Piers is dead.

You sat on your couch reading a book when a knock rang through the quiet house.

You groaned and stretched as you opened the front door, only to see Chris.

You looked behind him confusingly, wondering where your boyfriend was.

"Chris, where's Piers?" you asked, leaning against the doorframe.

Chris looked at you with a sad look before handing you his BSAA patch. It was covered in blood, among other things.

"Chris, what happened to my boyfriend?" You asked sternly, tears pricking your eyes.

"He was infected, I tried to get in into the escape pod but he wouldn't go. I'm sorry (Name)". Chris said, turning to leave.

You shut the door and then fell to the floor, clutching the patch tightly.

The tears started to cascade down your face as you laid there.

A little while later, you got up and went to your room.

You laid down on the bed and put the patch on your nightstand. You then grabbed a photo off of the wall and looked at it, tears filling your eyes once again.

You held it to your chest as you cried yourself to sleep.

A few days later, you couldn't take it anymore. It felt as if your heart had been ripped from your chest and crushed in front of you.

You called your best friend and asked if they could house sit for a few days while you took a "vacation."

They luckily accepted, and you left a while before they got there.

You drove to a cliff where you and Piers often had date nights.

You looked into the beautiful sunset and let yourself fall off the edge, into the sweet arms of death.

I'm currently having the worst case of writers block, and school isn't helping at all.
