Tonight's the night.
After 4 almost 5 years in this hell hole I'll finally be free.
Alina, Audrey, everyone will be free.
The three of us all share a look as the doors lock, the lates go off, and the buzz of the electrified floor fills the silence of the room.
"Lina forget it, we'll just figure out another way." Audrey whispers, not wanting Alina to get hurt.
"No, I said I'd do it and I will. I knew what would have to be done." She argues.
"Lina-" I try but it's too late.
The second she steps foot on the floor red lights start flashing in the room, signaling the alarm to Nadine and her guards.
Alina bites on her tongue, trying not to cry out from the electric floor.
Three guards rush in, pushing Alina to the ground.
When the electricity is all over her form falling, that's when she screams.
They drag her away but she bites one of their hands.
The man drops her before grabbing the color of her shirt and punching her.
She flys to the ground again and that's when I noticed she used the distraction of biting him to steal his keycard.
The keycard she just slid under her bed.
"You're gonna pay for that, bitch!" The man yells before grabbing her by the hair and pulling her out of the room, locking the door behind him.
Audrey and I are both trying to stay calm, but my head is spinning.
The red lights are still flashing and we can still hear Alina screaming from down the hall.
"Halston." I hear Audrey's ragged voice.
"Halston!" Finally, I look at her.
"We can't waste any time and we cannot have let her do that for nothing. Get your ass out of that bed and climb over to her bed to get the card and unlock the door." She demands.
I nod before steadying my shaking hands.
Carefully, I climb down the ladder and onto the bottom bunk before jumping across to Alina's bunk.
Making sure not to touch the floor, I quickly and carefully crab the keycard sticking out from under the bed.
It's difficult to reach but I'm able to stretch from the bed to the keypad, unlocking the door.
Once the door slides open I take the opportunity to jump from the bed to the hallway.
It's weird because I kind of have to throw myself at an angle to get out of the room.
