RISE, KINGS AND Queens of Narnia,❞ Aslan lowly rumbles, his voice still as strong as his mere presence. A shiver runs through June as Edmund, Peter and Susan stand, yet she and Caspian remain kneeling. ❝All of you.❞

June flushes, unsure of what to make of her hesitance, and slowly rises with her gaze strictly focused on the ground below. That way, the General only sees his paws.

Meanwhile, Caspian just barely lifts his head, eyes wide, confessing, ❝I do not think I am ready.❞

❝It's for that very reason I know you are,❞ Aslan's mane sways gently in the breeze and Caspian stands on both of his feet, encouraged, before his amber eyes land onto June, ❝What bothers you, my mighty child?❞

June knows he's speaking to her purely due to the weight of his gaze forcing her shoulders to slump. She lifts her head with the most strength she can muster, also drawing on a smile, ❝Nothing, Aslan. It's a great relief to be in your presence again.❞

Maybe after fifteen years, he'll grant her serenity once again. Give advice on how to be a warrior again.

❝I'm always there, June, even if one's eyes deceive them,❞ he promises warmly; he realises she's not telling him the whole truth anyway. Lucy looks up at him with eyes full of wonder, knowingly grinning. Told you so, her devilish smile tells her siblings.

Suddenly, the water splashes ever so calmly by the feet of the group, catching their attention. A group of mice carry a tiny stretcher, and, on top of it, lies Reepicheep, his eyes closed and breath coming out in short, raspy bursts.

Lucy appears by his side the second his friends place him down onto the rocks, uncorking her healing cordial and tilting it over the mouse's open mouth. A droplet lands onto his tongue, prompting him to begin stirring, before his eyes slowly blink open with a gasp, ❝Thank you, Your Majesty.❞

June grins, relieved, and fondly watches one of his soldiers reach out of Reepicheep, helping him to his feet, before he stumbles upon setting eyes onto the legendary Lion himself, ❝Oh! Hail Aslan! It is a great honour to be in–❞ Reep attempts to bow, though he doubles over and almost tumbles to the ground, head first. The lack of balance catches him off guard and he immediately throws his head over his shoulder, searching for what's no longer there; the great knight has lost his tail at war.

❝I'm completely out of countenance!❞ Reepicheep exclaims, scandalized, and turns back around to face Aslan, concealing what's left of his tail with his small paws, ❝I must crave your indulgence for appearing in this unseemly fashion! Uh, perhaps, a drop more?❞

❝I don't think it does that,❞ Lucy replies sadly when she notices his eyes on her cordial.

Yet, Reepicheep, utterly let down, tries, ❝You could have a go...❞
