Eh? Me? *Touma points at himself.

"Yeah. Who else do you think?"

*It was until a few seconds passed that Touma recognizes who those two students are, feeling actually relieved and glad to finally meet them. "Aaah. You two must be Metarou's friends, right? Nana and Yukimaru?

*The two people confronting Touma are Metarou's friends. It looks like they've decided to show their presence to Touma after they saw him sneaking into the school. Wait. Even if they did saw him, how would they know that Touma is a total outsider? Isn't he currently wearing the same standard uniform as anyone here in this school? Or...did they caught Touma being with Metarou? But then that means they were taking interest of Metarou talking to someone new besides his two friends here. ...Is Metarou really that secluded from meeting newer people besides the two here? Does he really no one else but Nana and Yukimaru? Whatever it was, he'll have to find that out for himself... In any case, Touma needs to deal with Yukimaru and Nana right now.

"Eh? Umm...that's correct. How do you know?" *Nana was surprised by the predated knowledge shared by Touma. Or more accurately, shaken in nervousness.

"Metarou told me about you two. He said you two were the center of attention around here so I shouldn't easily miss you two."

He said that? *Yukiamaru becomes the second to be surprised. In fact, both Yukimaru and Nana were surprised by that statement as Metarou never said anything about the two of them. Were they really that popular as Metarou said? To Touma, he notices how distant the two of them are between, Metarou and themselves, judging by their expressions alone. It was a sad sight to see.

"What an odd thing to say..." *The only comment Nana had for that statement made by Metarou

"...ah. I can see clearly now of what he meant by "keeping a distant" *Touma wonders to himself. He couldn't say that line outloud yet, feeling like it's not the time to reveal it as that would end causing more complications than it is now. His thoughts become interrupted by Nana's voice

"Anyways! You were meeting Metarou, right? We want to ask you something!"

"Yeah. Like she said. To get to the point, what's your relationship with Metarou?" *Yukimaru gives support to Nana's question as they both gave a firm stare at Touma's eyes

"Oh. That? ...We're basically friends." *Touma answers, but Nana didn't seem convinced as she probes the level 0 imagine breaker.

"That's a pretty vague answer. I mean, what's really your relationship between you and Metarou? Forgive me for being blunt, but...are you like one of those guys who extort him for money?"

"What?! N-no! Why would I do that to him?" *Touma was surprised by that cruel assumption as he firmly deflects and strongly disagrees it. More importantly, why would Nana said that? As Touma was gonna ask about it, Yukimaru elaborates...

"It's been like that in other schools outside of this one. Around five incidents. We don't kindly to people like that, especially when they do it to Metarou"

"Ah...is that so...? Well, I can assure you that I'm definitely not THAT person. In fact, any people like that are just plain egocentric and self deprecating. Honestly, I'd be hella pissed learning that kind of stuff is happening here." *Touma said. The answer in summary was a clear "no" to Nana's blatant assumption about the level 0 imagine breaker
