One Last Time

December 18th, 2016

Today is December 18th, 2016 and this may not seem like a big deal to any of you guys but it is to me because that means that today is the final day of shooting for the recording of Newsies so that it could be on Disney plus.

I had woken up to the sound of my alarm at 4AM which I purposefully set for it that early because I knew that I would hit snooze and that's exactly what I did then I went back to sleep but not for long. 30 minutes later I had woken up again but this time it my twin brother waking me up reminding me of what today is.
"AVERY WAKE UP WE'RE GOING TO BE LATE FOR THE FINAL DAY OF SHOOTING" he said rudely awakening me.
"5 more...WHAT DID YOU SAY!!!" I shot up from my bed once I had time to fully process what he had said.
"We're going to be late." Ben said
"What time is it?!?!" I said in a panic"
"4:30AM" he said as I immediately gave him an angry look
"Dude you had me so scared we were actually going to be late" "we don't have to be there until 7" I said in a somewhat annoyed tone
He then replied "I know I just wanted to make sure we wouldn't actually be late knowing how long it takes you to get ready plus it take 35 minutes to get there and you know that so hurry up and get ready."
"Ugh fine" I said not wanting to be awake at 4:30 in the morning.

It's about 6:00 and I was finally ready after getting a shower and then doing all of my skincare and brushing my teeth and once my hair dries I threw it up into a messy bun just until I could get there and do my hair and makeup and along with that I threw on a sweatshirt and sweatpants because who doesn't love a comfy outfit. Ben and I head out of our apartment about 6:10 then we leave to head to the theater so we could meet up with the cast and warmup our voices and get ready and do a little bit of rehearsal before we shoot the last portion of the show.

Once we got there I had said hello to everyone and then went straight to my dressing room to do my hair and makeup and put my costume on before we started to go over the things we needed to rehearse before filming.

After the day was done the director told everyone to meet at a restaurant down the road named Benny's for dinner because he had a huge announcement for us, "I wonder what the announcement is" I thought to myself as I was getting ready to leave.
"Avery, wait up" I heard from behind me and which I had turned around to see a Benjamin Tyler Cook. Ben is one of my closet friends in the cast he's also pretty close with my brother as well. Back story on Ben is that I used to have a massive crush on him back when we first met but then I did the impossible and got a boyfriend his name is Alex I met him while I was out for coffee one day and me being the klutz that I am I ran right into him with my coffee and then the rest is history.
"What's up Benjamin" I said just to annoy him because I know he hates when I call him Benjamin.
"Ok first you know I hate when you call me that and second what do you think this huge announcement is?" He said
I then added "I don't know I was just thinking the same thing"
"Walk with me to dinner?" He asked
"Of course who else would I want to walk with" I said in a "duh" kind of tone.

Once we had gotten to Benny's we had realized that we were the last ones to get there which isn't really surprising because that's normally how that goes then the director immediately starts talking after we took our seats.
"So, as I have mentioned I have a huge announcement but to start with I want to say thank you to every single one of you for making this film a great experience, now for the announcement. I know you are all sad that today is the last day of filming and now you won't see each other as much after this, well what if I said that you don't have to say goodbye to this show just yet." We all just looked at him confused but then he said the unexpected... "WE'RE GOING ON ONE LAST TOUR."
We all started to cheer because we were all so excited that we don't have to say goodbye yet.
"When will this tour be starting?" josh had asked
"Well our first show will be starting off right here in New York City so that show won't be until September 16th." We all just groaned because it was so far away until we would perform together again but we were all still excited that we would get many more shows to come together.

Later I had went home to writing in my journal about today much like I do at the end of everyday and while I was finishing with my writing Ben walked into tell me goodnight, I told him goodnight back and he went to his room. I finished with my writing then decided to FaceTime Alex to tell him the good news but he didn't answer which was weird because it was 10PM and normally he's awake at this time but maybe he was just tired and went to bed early so I just decided to head to sleep.

Authors note: first chapter is done so excited to have it out and so you guys can read it I hope you like it and I know nothing much really happened this chapter but trust me there is lots to come.
