I sat on the couch, looking around at everyone jumping and dancing to the music. I usually wouldn't be caught dead at a frat party, but Anika insisted I come, instead of sulking at home like usual. At least four grimy looking guys had approached me, looking for a hook up. And every single one has been turned down. Even the cute one. I watched Anika drag Mindy over to dance, and smiled at their cute antics while running my finger of the rim of my red solo cup.

"Hey, you look bored." Chad plops down next to me placing his arm over the back of the couch.

"That's because I am. Anika dragged me along." I roll my eyes towards her.

"So hey I may need a favour. So you know Ethan, I'm trying to hook him up with someone, and he may or may not have a crush on you." Chad pleads.

"No freaking way." I laugh in his face.

"Please Y/N. Please," he puts his hands together in a praying motion.

I push my tongue into the side of my mouth, thinking it over.

"Oh fine." I mutter.

"Yes! I love you. I officially owe you one."

I get up walking over to Ethan. I lean against the wall next to him, and he nervously glanced over at me.

"Hey Ethan," I look up to smile at him.

"Uh- hey," he rubs the back of his neck awkwardly.

"You know you don't look like your having a good time," I lean slightly closer.

"Well I- I," he stutters.

"Would you like to have a good time?" I lean even closer to him.

His breath hitches and he looks down at me.

"W-what?" He mutters.

"Dude I'm joking," I laugh and lean away.

"Oh yeah, right," he rubs the back of his neck.

"But really. You do look cute in that." I say.

He blushes and looks away for a second.

"Really?"

"Yeah." I smile up at him.

"Thank you, I uh- you look good too," he mutters.

"Thank you," I smile brightly.

A few weeks after that, Ethan and I had started to get closer and closer. The group was walking the streets of New York, and it was pouring down rain. We all walked in the rain, getting soaked, with no umbrella to protect us. A teenage couple a few yards in-front of us swayed together in the rain, linking hands to dance.

"They are so cute, I love love." Anika sighs from next to me and Mindy wraps an arm around her.

"There's no such thing as love, it's fantasy," I say and look over at them.

"Well I think you're wrong." Ethan speaks from next to me.

"Well then, what is it that I'm missing?" I smile over at him.

"You'll know it when you feel it," he stopped walked and looked down at me.

I squint as rain falls into my eyes.

"What are you doing?" I have to shout over the loud rain, pouring down now.

"Can I kiss you?" He shouts.

"Wha-" he cuts me off by kissing me.

He slides his hands around my waist as I stand there frozen, before melting into the kiss. Sliding my hands around his neck. We kiss for a few more seconds before loud cheering erupts.

"I did that!" Chad shouts jumping up and down.

I roll my eyes smiling, gesturing them to go away with my hands. I kiss him quickly again heifer we take hands, and run to catch up with the rest of the group.
