Aravyn awoke, a head of thick brown hair, cascading down above her, "she's awake!" Said the person above her.
"Hmm?" She asked, her eyes becoming clearer. Suddenly she was engulfed again by a red head.
"Oh my gosh I was so worried!" Lily said.
"Where am I?" Aravyn asked.
"The hospital wing," Sirius said, softly brushing her hair from her face as Lily backed away.
"Where is Malfoy and Lestrange?" Aravyn muttered, she tried to sit up as every muscle in her body screamed.
"There common room as it looks on the Marauders Map," James said, walking into the wing. He hugged her quickly then sat up.
"How do you feel?" Sirius asked.
"How do I look?" Aravyn asked, smiling slightly.
"Beautiful Darling!" Lily said, giving her a glass of water.
"Alright you lot! Visiting hours are over!" Poppy Pomfrey said.
Everyone nodded, looking to Aravyn. "Well, goodnight dear, I'll bring you your homework tomorrow!" Lily said, hugging her again.
"Alright," Aravyn muttered.
"Night kiddo!" James said.
Sirius hugged her tightly whispering in her ear, " I'll be back in ten minutes!" Before following his friends.
Aravyn smiled, turned over, and put her head down.
About nine and a half minutes later, the big oak door creaks open and little claw taps on the stone floor. Aravyn sat up just as a large black dog jumped into the hospital bed. He licked her face then curled up into a ball and laid his head on her thigh.
Aravyn awoke with Sirius still lying on her leg.
"Hey, Snuffles!" Aravyn whispered in his ear. He gave her a quizzical look through squinted eyes. She shrugged.
"I'm getting out of here, let's go!" She whispered. Sirius perked up at the idea of mischief. She pulled on her leather jacket and stood up shakily.
Padfoot walked happily next to her as she snuck out of the Wing.
The two, Sirius now back on two legs, snuck towards the kitchens, however they did not get far when someone said, "Mr. Black! Ms. Andonovski!"
They both winced at the strict voice of Minerva McGonagall behind them.
"You should be in the hospital wing! What are you both doing here?"
"We were hungry? Professor?" Sirius tried.
"Both of you, detention. The night you are released I want you in my office!" She snapped. "And do me a favor, won't you? Try to get better before the Slytherin game!" She patted Aravyn's back.
"Yes professor!" She agreed, begrudgingly.
Luckily she was out of the wing two days later, and ready for vengeance.
But before she could quench her "thirst for blood" as James called it.
Before she could get on the pitch however, she had to serve a detention with her head of house.
"I need you to go threw and help me grade the third year's transfiguration essays, you too Mr. Black! It will all be pretty easy for you I am sure," with that McGonagall walked out.
"Great, Aravyn? What's this?" Sirius asked.
"A name Sirius," she said back, hiding her laughter.
"Aw geez, this is gonna be a long two hours," Sirius sighed.
After the first few papers, Sirius became more fluent in deciding what the third years were saying. He stopped to ask Aravyn questions occasionally.
They were sprawled on the floor, papers around them on all sides, when a greasy haired, big nosed sixth year was pulled in by the back of his robes by McGonagall.
"-f I find you using such spells again it will go straight to the ministry!" She was nearly yelling. "How did you even learn such a spell?"
Snape did not answer, he only brooded, staring at the ground.
"Very well, come on then, to the Headmaster's office, let's go!" She said grabbing a small vial off her desk and dragging him out again. She stopped right outside. "You two are free to go as soon as you sort the graded and non-graded ones into piles for me!" Then she was gone.
They quickly did so, placing both stacks on her desk, then rushing away.
Once they closed themselves in the common room they both looked at each other.
"What did he do?" Aravyn asked.
"Take it straight to the ministry! What did that mean?" Sirius asked.
"Come with me!" She said dragging him back out of the common room.
"What? Where are we going?" Sirius asked.
"Shh!" She pulled him along right to the hospital wing.
They creaked open the door, peering into the bustling room, Jax McCarthy was whimpering in a bed, surrounded by Professors and Madam Pomfrey. His white, uniform shirt was lying next to the bed, soaked in deep red liquid. More seeped from unseen cuts on his chest.
"Away with you!" Someone snapped, slamming the doors.
The sprinted towards the Gryffindor Tower.
"What the bloody hell did Snape do?" Sirius breathed as Aravyn muttered "baubles" and ran into the Common Room again.
"What's all the noise?!" Someone asked groggily as Remus, James, and Peter came down to see both of their friends breathing heavily.
"Actually, I don't want to know," James said looking at them with raised eyebrows.
"Oh come off it! But listen to this!" Sirius started, telling all three of his friends what they had witnessed.
"So you guys weren't?" James asked, reviving a hard elbow in the ribs from Remus. "Fine!" He snapped.
"Can you believe it? Snape!" Aravyn asked.
"Well yes actually," Remus said matter of factly.
"What do you mean? He is horrible and a lunatic but seriously? Why would he do that?" Aravyn asked.
"We have known for the last three years that he is interested in the dark arts! I'm not surprised at all," Remus said. "Anyway, you three have an important game tomorrow! You need sleep!"
Aravyn went up to her bed, grudgingly.
When she finally fell asleep she had terrible nightmares of Sirius and James and Lily and Remus all bleeding and writhing a moaning as she stood there frozen. She awoke at dawn, pulling on her black undershirt and trousers and heading down to breakfast. She was one of the very few there. She took a piece of toast and headed down to the stadium with her broom over her shoulder.
Matt joined her later, looking at her in surprise, "what are you doing here?"
"Gonna play a game," she answered, tapping up her bat hand.
"Well, yeah, I mean, this early!" Matt recovered.
"Thought I'd come down and get ready!" She folded Sirius' leather jacket carefully and put it in her locker then tucked her wand into an inner pocket of her robes.
The rest of the team arrived slowly, Sirius giving Aravyn a weak, nervous smile. James patted her on the back. There was a road of laughter and chatter as the whole school filed into the stadium to sit and watch the game.
They took the field, Sirius and Aravyn with their strong wooden bats. Madam Hooch blew the whistle and Aravyn immediately flew at an oncoming bludger, sending it again, flying at the back of Lucius Malfoy's blonde head. The crowed roared with cheers and boos as he plummeted to the ground.
"Oh a rather nasty hit from Aravyn Andonovski, not surprised of course," Bellatrix Lestrange said over the intercom.
Aravyn whipped around to see her smirking at her.
"Oh and that seventh year Gryffindor, Blake, Barnes, Bane?" Bellatrix went on.
"Bell!" McGonagall whispered.
"Awe yes Bell! Has just put the Quaffle threw the hoop! Frankly, I think it was rather lucky, foul play to get the quaffle that was!" Bellatrix went on.
This continued much like that the rest of the match. Gryffindor staying ahead by ten points at all times. Suddenly McLaggen went into a great dive, followed closely by the Slytherin seeker, Densen.
Mclaggen swerved to the right then corkscrewed down, nearly hitting the ground before pulling up with his fist in the air. Gryffindors, Hufflepuffs, and Ravenclaws erupted into excited cheers.
Matt Bell swerved his broom and soared straight at Bellatrix Lestrange, running into her with his broom.
"Oh my Gosh! I'm so sorry professor! I lost control of my broom!" He pleaded, then winked at Bellatrix as McGonagall nodded.
(An event at which Arthur Weasley told his daughter about many years later.)
Sirius flew to Aravyn and wrapped his arms around her, his lips finding hers.
The crowd seemed to cheer louder.
Sirius finally pulled away, a wry smile on his face.
"I knew it!" James shouted, wrapping his arms around both of their shoulders.
