Aravyn sat on the floor of the Gryffindor common room with a scroll of parchment in front of her. Friday had come quickly. As she waited for the Quidditch roster to come out she had decided on doing homework. She pushed up the sleeves of her hoodie and dipped her quill into ink. Carefully placing it on the parchment she wrote: Potion Corrections, before starting her paper.
Sirius came down about thirty minutes after she had started. She was just about to wrap up the essay when he sat down in the chair next to her.
"You working on Slughorn's paper?" He asked looking at her title. She nodded, not looking up until she had dotted her last period.
"Alright, you lot!" Matt Bell said, walking though the portrait hole. "Here is the roster, on the bulletin, contact me if you have questions! We have practice Monday night!"
Everyone got up excitedly and rushed towards the bulletin.
Aravyn examined it slowly.

"Of course we did!" Sirius laughed. James bounded down the stairs, snatching the paper from the wall.
"Look at that! You guys actually made it! Lucky break I guess!" He joked, wrapping his arm around Sirius.
"Oi, moony, Peter! Guess who made the team?" Sirius called.
"Congratulations!" They chorused.
"Anyone else up for a Treat?" James asked winking. "Follow me!" He led the way up the stairs to the boy's dormitory.
" 'ey? Why can she be up here and we can't get into the girls dorms?" Sirius asked and James rummaged around my his bed.
"Why do you think, Padfoot?" Remus asked. Sirius' eyes went wide and Aravyn snickered.
"Got it!" James said, standing up with a cloak and a piece of parchment in his hands. "Moony, wormtail? You joining us?" He asked.
"I will, I think Peter is doing his homework, so he can't," moony said.
"The cloak only fits four under it anyways!" James said with a smile, flicking his wand from his jeans pocket. " I solemnly swear I'm up to no good," he muttered tapping the parchment. Slowly, as if a flower bloomed, maroon ink spread across the paper and all through it.

Aravyn marveled at it. "Wow..." She gasped.
"Come on!" James said heading out the dorm and down the stairs. Aravyn and Sirius followed, Remus taking the rear.
Before they could reach the exit, however, they were stopped my a flaming red head in their path.
"Where are you going Potter?" Lily asked looking slightly up at him.
"Don't worry, Evans! We are just going down to the kitchens to see the house elves and get a drink!" James said, Lily looked uncertain but nodded.
"Be careful not to get into trouble, it'll make me look bad," she smiled warily.
"Aye, aye cap'n," James saluted, before heading out the portrait hole.
"Make sure they don't get into anything!" Lily whispered to Remus and Aravyn.
"We got it!" Remus whispered to her, then followed, Aravyn trailed behind him.
"Well come on, slackers!" Sirius called. "Get under!" He whispered, holding the cloak over his head and beaconing them under. Aravyn slid in next to him and moony followed.
James led the way, staring down at the map.
They found themselves at a painting of a fruit bowl. James reached up and rubbed his first finger on the pear, which to Aravyn's surprise, giggled then the painting swung open into a door.
They pulled the cloak off themselves and closed the door behind them. Aravyn smiled. A bustle of house elves ran around them preparing food and other things.
"Mr. Potter! Mr. Black! Mr. Remus!" A house elf squeaked running towards the boys.
"Hey Blinky!" Sirius said. "Can you get Aravyn and us some butterbeer and cakes please?" He asked politely, making Aravyn raise her eyebrows.
The little house elf nodded excitedly and scampered off.
"We came here a lot last year, to skip class, ya know?" Sirius explained. Aravyn nodded.
"Would you like a seat, miss?" A little house elf squeaked, her eyes watering. "No, thank you," Aravyn declined. Blinky returned and a table appeared before them, Aravyn felt bad for turning down the chair earlier but sat.
Blinky set butterbeer and chocolate cakes then looked curiously at Aravyn.
"Um..." Aravyn said kicking Sirius under the table who looked at her in alarm before following her vision to the small house elf staring at her.
"Blinky, this is Aravyn, a new Gryffindor," Sirius said putting an arm around her shoulders. James nudged moony but Sirius went on. "She'll be here a lot with they boys and i!" He said.
Blinky smiled. "Your past has been told to me from a house elf from the British Isles. If you need anything more, I would be here to help you!" The house elf nodded and Aravyn stiffened, her back going rigid and her eyes widening. She looked truly fox-like.
Sirius, with his arm around her, looked over at her worried. "You alright," he whispered, looking at her pale face.
She nodded and took a great gulp from her cup.
"Oi, pass the cakes would you?" James snapped. Sirius chucked a cake at him, rolling his eyes. That night Aravyn stood in the empty girls dormitory, she stared at her back, scar tissue and skin met and she looked away.
Seva had told Blinky what had happened when she lived in the isles. She shuddered, never again would she go back to that place! She would live in hogsmeade or with somebody else.
She pulled a thin t-shirt on and crawled into bed.
A dark messy head stood over her cradled her head in his hands for a moment, only to put it back down, his hand now covered in red.
Another head took its place, long hair spilled past his face. He placed his hand on her cheek and a wet splash fell on her face.
