Lexa has become accustomed to crying in front of Clarke strangely easily. She has become accustomed to waking up and falling asleep next to her, even it it's not the way she imagined. She has become accustomed to being taken care of, although that took her a little longer.

She hasn't become accustomed to only being inside the same room all day and night, though. So after a month, when her rib has mostly healed, she couldn't be more happy to finally get to go to rehabilition for her leg.

The second benefit of having a healed rib is that that night, Clarke doesn't help her dress and instead pushes her injured legs apart as gently as possible, to bury her tongue inbetween and make Lexa see stars.

A few days after, Aden and Madi come home, and with Bellamy dropping them off, they all crush her in a hug. Madi cries and apologizes for posting it a thousand times, but Lexa and Clarke kissed just for that picture, just so Madi could post it, and Lexa knows it's no one's fault but her mom's.

Abby stops by more and more often and she, Aden and Madi all do stupid things to almost make Lexa cry like cutting apple slices for her, making tea, asking how she is and hugging her. It almost makes her feel like she has a family, too.

It's four months later in July that Lexa can walk on her own again. She has another few scars added to the constellation of her body, and Clarke has wasted no time to explore them and kiss them. She doesn't waste any time exploring and kissing Lexa in general.

The weather is hot, but not as humid as the last days, so it's perfect for a stroll through the park. Clarke is happily chatting next to Lexa and Lexa might not ever have felt so lucky in her life.

The story of Madi and Hope's ice cream date is interrupted by a, "Hey, Picasso! Come here."

Clarke tugs at the leash gently and apologizes to the kid that looks at the golden retriever with big eyes. "I'm sorry, he's always looking for cuddles everywhere, I didn't pay attention."

"Can I pet him?"

"Of course!"

A bunch of children join the young boy and Picasso looks like he's in puppy heaven, excitedly wagging his tail and looking over at his owners to check if they're witnessing this event of a dozen sticky, warm children hands.

Madi and Aden are only mildly insulted that they couldn't make Clarke get a dog for 14 years but it only took one bat of eyelashes for Lexa. Clarke said that Lexa is co-parenting Picasso after all and she's not a single mom of three.

To be honest though, Lexa and a cute golden puppy- Clarke would've done anything for that. Lexa in her bed every night, occasionally joined by a warm ball of fluff? Watching Lexa play with him? Daily walks?

Yeah, that's exactly what she wants.

Lexa moved in with them seamlessly. Octavia brought Lexa's stuff while she was still tied to the bed until Lexa's room in her own apartment was mostly empty, and so they have two toothbrushes now, two bottles of shampoo, less space in the closet and the second bedside table in use.

Somewhen then, Octavia moved in with Lincoln and they started renting the apartment, which had been empty of Lexa's stuff anyway. Lexa uses the money from that to share rent with Clarke, since her students had to find another tutor over the last few months.

For a job, Lexa is more active on her social media again. With Madi's support, she has even started a campaign to help children like she was. She considers going into tutoring again.

She can't believe the path this year has brought her on, because it's certainly not what she expected. Meeting Clarke, falling in love, almost dying, healing, moving in with her amazing girlfriend, getting a dog, living with the sweetest two teens- her life had turned into a soft perfect. An artwork.
