Update (11/19/23) warning this includes health issues in chronic injuries. a TLDR will be put at the end.

So here is a quick update on the adventures of one Hydra Nudget. In late May soon after this A/N was posted, she wandered off and was chicken-naped by a 7-year-old. She was missing for a week but we were able to get her back luckily. not even a month later she suffered from a bed episode of heat stress leading to a stroke that left her right side paralysed. Throughout her recovery, she gained mobility in all but her foot. 

The next part is where it gets complicated. The Vet told us that because this all happened before she reached maturity, her recovery delayed her growing milestones. She was getting much better and started showing signs of laying her first egg, which included sitting in the nest box on fake eggs we put in there to encourage her. Then something weird happened, she tried to crow. Turns out, due to her accident her ovary was damaged, which caused an unhealthy influx of testosterone, causing her to transition. So now I have a rooster hen who can't make up their mind on what their gender is.

TLDR-  Hydra had traumatic event after traumatic event leading to her becoming disabled and being a gender-flued trans-hen-der chicken.
