The therapy and rubber bands didn't work
Questions I couldn't and wouldn't answer
The therapist gave up
Told me to find someone else
Snapping rubber bands
They always broke from overuse
The bullying got worse -
The insults, the pain
I ended up with streak-covered cheeks
Pools of tears on desks and floors
Wanting to be done
I tried to swallow the pills
Again
I couldn't do it
Again
I cried
Again
It didn't work
Again
I cut myself
Again
Covered in blood
Again
I want this to be done
I want to save myself
