Midnights' Daughters
This chapter is dedicated to Lilly-rain because she helped me pick out the story to write. Please read her story 'she's one of the boys' cause it is amazing. Don't forget to vote for it!
Prologue
Brooklyn's P.O.V
My mother spent a lot of time and money running away from my father but I never knew why. We never stayed in a place for more than a year. She raised my twin brother and I in such a way that we found it hard to trust anyone but each other. She was more protective of me than my big brother but I never knew why. Aaron (My brother) must have known why because he was almost as protective of me as my mother. They never trusted anyone...Especially girls and I hated it.
I hated being alone. I hated having no friends. I hated wondering if people had ulterior motives. I hated almost everything about my life. When I was six, I was forced to take self-defense classes, swimming lessons and some random track and field training program. Horrible was the only word that can describe it.
Mom pushed me to the limit. No breaks, no slacking off and no skipping. Somehow everyplace we went to always have those three activities available. The only time I was allowed to skip was when I was ill.
Now I'm seventeen, I'm blonde with sky blue eyes, fit, and tan and have curves in the right places. Because of all the sports I am fast with high endurance. Sadly the day I turned seventeen was the day I understood everything and it was not a nice thing I soon discovered.
