“why are you crying?” Jared asked me.
“I’m not crying.” I denied instinctively. I didn’t turn to face him. He grabbed my face and made me look at him in the face, I would have jerked my face out of his hands but I was shocked. He gently wiped a tear away with his thumb.
“Yeah, you’re not crying.” He said sarcastically. I glared at him jerking my face out of his hands.
“If I want to cry, I will cry. If I want you to leave me alone, you will leave me alone.” I spat out at him. He’s a player, don’t you ever forget that Brook. It’ll only end in you getting hurt.
“But what if I don’t want to leave?” Jared asked stepping closer to me.
“Then I will.” I said stiffly before storming off. I hate having to remind myself of what they are, they’re just that good. When I got back home I just shoved the door open. Once again my sisters were in another discussion.
"Nous lui faire confiance?" Zee quickly said.
«Pas maintenant, pas quand nous sommes si près. Nous allons nous concentrer sur elle plus tard." Sasha responded instantly.
«Non! Elle peut nous aider, nous pouvons lui faire confiance, si nous ne pouvons pas, nous ne pouvons pas faire confiance à personne d'autre." Hannah said equally rushed as Zee.
"Nous allons poursuivre cette discussion plus tard." Zee said defeated while Hannah glared at Sasha.
“Hi guys!” I called out trying to sound happy. Five suspicious faces turned to stare at my face to detect any sign of emotion they obviously knew I was lying it even sounded fake to my ears.
“What happened?” Zee asked harshly glaring at me I guessed it was because I was upset.
“I wa-” I started but Hannah cut me off.
“It was Jarl and Jared wasn’t it? Oh my gosh they are so dead. Sasha, get your weapons ready, we have some people to torture to death.” Hannah said while examining my face.
“No-” I was cut off again by Sasha
“Should we use the whips or the guns?” Sasha asked
“Neither-” I was cut off by Poppy.
“I know a short cut and secret passage to their room.” Poppy announced glaring at nothing in particular.
“But-” I was cut off by Zee
“ALL OF YOU SHUT UP AND LET BROOK EXPLAIN WHAT HAPPENED!” Zee yelled. “Now what happened brook?”
“I was walking on the beach it was sunset-” Zee cut me off.
“OMG THEY DID NOT! GIRLS GET YOUR WEAPONS READY WE’RE GONNA KILL THEM!” Zee screamed.
“NO! I JUST GOT HOMESICK AND REALISED HOW MUCH I MISSED HOME AND STARTED CRYING! JARL AND JARED HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH IT! WHAT MAKES YOU THINK THEY HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT ANYWAY?!” I yelled.
“Oh, oops.” Hannah said sounding embarrassed.
“Well around here if a girl walks into her apartment with red eyes and signs that she has been crying, it means that she has become a victim to Jarl and Jared. We thought one of them said that they liked you, convince you to give him a chance, you guys start kissing and in the end, he says what was I thinking, there are so much prettier girls than you. And walks away leaving you standing there heart broken. Sorry” Zee explained sheepishly.
“You really think I’m that stupid?” I asked offended.
“No, but yeesh you know how most of the newbies your age are…erm…yeah…And have been in relationships and want to believe that they do care when they don’t. Others don’t believe them out of stupidity of erm... They just like the sense of familiarity that’s all we kinda put you in that category. So they tend to get their hearts broken.” Sasha explained bluntly. Thanks so much for having so much faith in my ability to trust someone or not.
“What ever can I have something to eat?” I said grumpily.
“Sure, the pasta’s ready.” Zee said. We ate dinner laughing and joking like the little freaks we were.
“Does Joey like her new class?” I asked.
“Not one bit. She threw a fit and is now in the ‘detention room’ it’s basically like a prison cell only there’s a room for the toilets and all.” Zee said shuddering.
“Is it that bad?” I asked getting worried.
“No, well depending on how long you’re stuck there, it’s not that bad. She should be okay; she’s only there for a day.” Zee said looking haunted.
“You okay big sis?” I asked. Shocking her out of her daze.
“Yeah fine just fine.” She said looking shocked.
“I better go continue studying Toxicology…The horror.” I said mock shuddering. We all laughed and the tension was momentarily forgotten.

Translation: "-We trust her?" Zee quickly said
“Not now, not when we are so close. We will focus on it later. “Sasha responded instantly
"No! It can help us, we can trust her, if we cannot, then we cannot trust anyone else." Hannah said equally rushed as Zee.
"We will continue this discussion later." Zee said defeated while Hannah glared at Sasha.
