Chapter 7

Past

School ended early today. I had theater, and while everyone else left I stayed behind practicing until the janitors kicked me out. 

I made my way to my car fumbling for the keys. I heard the motorcycles before I saw them. But when I did I ducked down just as the 2 bikers tried to snatch me up. I ran to my car dropping the keys.

"Fuck!" I yelled in frustration shoving the key in the whole. I locked the door behind me. The guys in sync both reaching into the inside of there jacket. they pulled there arms out revealing 2 gun I ducked screaming in fear as my ears rang with gunshots. 

I dialed quickly "DOM!" I yelled when he answered. "Whats going on! " He asked alarmed. "I-Im at school these guys on a motorcycle just shot up my car. " The men walked up to the car. I could hear doms engine roar to life.

"VALERIE? VALERIE STAY ON THE PHONE WITH ME" I crawled into the back seat. They couldnt see my skinny body slide down the back. "They have guns dom." My voice was terrified. "I Love You." I cried. 1 of the guys raised his gun shooting the windows. I scream again as the glass falls around me.

"Val? VAL!" Dom yelled. In 1 moment im yanked through the window kicking and screaming until I feel a hard bang on the side of my head.

No one could save me now.

Present

"Mia's having the baby now." 

"Thats nice, Tell her I love her. Han"

Im hiding in the subway the loud noises  and mass crowds of people will cover my tracks. 

"We miss you. I miss you." I ignored the softness in my chest. "Its easier this way" I reply soothing. I met Han a while back in Brazil when Mia found me and begged for my help.

Owen never knew where I went for those 2 weeks. He thought I was in Tokyo another deceiving lie. Han and I instantly clicked. He was the exact opposite of Jesse but I loved him almost as much. Those 2 weeks were torture hiding my identity from the cops and Shaw were easy compared to the longing I felt to stay with my family.

I couldnt stay knowing Letty and Owen would rip each other apart. I considered bringing Letty back. But Dom had a new girl and they just barely are managing her death. besides if we left we wouldve had to deal with the men in power for the rest of our lives.

Here I could protect me. Here i could protect her.

"I gotta go. But I love you, and tell Brian hes gonna do great or ill kick his Ass." Han chuckles I laugh hanging up. I walk up to the empty tracks were in 20 seconds it wouldnt be empty. I through the phone and sd card separately watching the train smash them to pieces.

It took me longer to get home then It was to leave considering the job we just did in Moscow.

"Where'd you go?" Letty asks looking up from the hood of her car. "Subway. I needed to think." I tossed my jacket to the side. "Im gonna take a quick shower." She nodded 

"Subway huh?"  Owen has his arms crossed a small smile making its way to his face. "Dont you trust." I tested raising a cheeky brow. His smile only grew as he closed the space between Us. He pulled my hips to him taking my chin his hand and kissed me passionately.

"Always." He whispered. A warmth spread through my chest. I cleared my throat grabbing a towel. "Coming?" I asks holding my hand out for him. He took it kissing my knuckles lightly.

Past

When I awoke It was Dark and I was sweaty. I couldnt move my hands or feet and as I came into reality I realized my arms and feet were bound my mouth gagged. I started to cry at the small space I was in. My breath hitched as I wiggled around but with every movement it seem like I was running out of air and room.
