Dont blame me

Chapter 13

"Are you ready?" Owen smiles at me offering a hand. He wears a freshly tailored black suit and corner smile as I take it. 

"For what?" I ask but then I see the white gown tightly tied onto my body. I touch the soft satin  fabric gently rubbing my stomache in joy. 

As we walk down the isle I pass the faces of everyone I love. They stare blankly ahead. My smile falters everyone had the same line across there neck. My eyes widen when red seeps down there necks.

"No!" I scream running to Mia. Brian is beside her I try t9 push pressure on there necks. 

"Owen called an Abulance!" I scream not facing him. My eyes meet doms and I let go of brian to reach for him.

"No!!! Owen call the Ambulance!!!" I yell  my voice cracks as I cradle my brothers head in my lap.

"Valerie get up!"

"Jesse." I freeze taking in his features in shock. Owen steps into sight a calculating gaze in his eyes. Jesse pulls me onto my feet and steps in front of me.

I look into the eyes of the man I love and there's nothing but plain evil. 

"Run Valerie." Jesse says sparing no glances. There a loud bang and Jesse falls to the floor touching his chest. I scream running backward and tripping breaking my heel.

Another 3 shots and I'm clutching my stomache. Blood pools from my stomache and down my legs. 

"No." I can feel my baby slipping farther and farther away as black dots cloud my vision and I cry.

I wake up with a start gasping and clawing at my sides. My breathing is heavy and I'm shrouded by a pool of sweat. 

"Owen." I call when I've calmed down he's seated at the table staring out the window. I slowly take a step forward. It was just a dream. I take another step composing myself. It was just, a dream. 

I trail my fingers down his forearms leaning in for a kiss. He pecks the corner of my lips before turning back to the window. 

"Where were yesterday.." 

"I went back to the race." I lied. It would at least explain the new car I drove home last night. He stayed silent. I brushed it off picking out some clothes to wear. He lifts a flask between his lips.

"Oh hell no." I take it smelling the contence.

"Get dressed we leave in 15." I don't get a second  to argue because he's already headed for the door. I sigh running a hand over my stomach. 

I get dressed then rush out of my room bumping into letty. "It'd not safe here we have to go." I said.

"But you said-"

"I know what I said." I cut her off she nods.

"Im with you girl." I give her a small smile Heading out.

Hans pov

"Just tracked Valerie's phone. Got the cordinates." Tej says looking up from his laptop. Ever scince Valerie came to us last night things seem off. I'm really worried about her and the baby. 

I feel a pair of eyes on me. I look up and see Giselle smiling back. I sigh shoving a chip in my mouth.

"She's gonna be ok."She says resting her arm on mine. I nod once still not able to shake the feeling we missed something.

Valerie's pov

I feel nauseous as we ride up the side of the highway. The jeep keeps jerking sideways and the only thing keeping me from being thrown off is my iron grip on the roof.
