Chapter 10

"What do you want?" Dom holds the car frame facing his sisters. 

"Oh I want a coconut Popsicle aaaand water" Mia says not looking up from her homework. He taps his foot his attention on me expectantly.

"uhhm surprise me." I say he throws his hands like he always does at that answer walking away.

"Love you!" I call back. Its been a week and a half since my sickness. I was so happy when Dom came to my room and told me to get dressed

-couple minutes ago-

"If you want snacks before we head to race wars you better be in the car in 5" I jumped up immediately at the mention of food scrambling around my room for clothes and makeup.

-Now-

Dom comes back with 2 full bags swinging from his wrists. Hes holding a pack of Coronas in one hands and has an open one in his mouth.

"Did you buy the store?" I asked incredulously. He shrugged tossing the snacks in the back with me.

"I didnt know what to get you and I doubt Mia only wants a popcycle and water." I roll my eyes with a smile. My phone goes off I grab it to read a message from Jesse.

- Did you decide to come? 

                                                                                                                                                                                           No :(

-Liar i see you.

Jesse took a window marker and drew a giant heart on my window. I laughed joyfully as dom got out and they began to play fight. 

"Letty!!!" I run out of the car to hug her.

"No Shes mine" Jesse Dramatically points to us.

"No shes mine" I growl back.

"Shes mine" doms voice overpowers both of us as he goes in for a kiss. I fake gagged slinging an arm around Jesse.

"We haven't had any time to ourselves." I whispered closing my eyes as i leaned my head on his shoulder. A shadow cast over my sun kissed eyes. I smile gratefully at his hands.

"No we haven't " He agrees licking my nose. I whip my nose on his arm.

"Im serious. Lets watch a movie tonight."

"Are you asking me out?" He asks dramatically. I purse my lips trying not to smile.

"Yeah Bro" my voice came out deep and sarcastic.

"Valerie Toretto I would love to go on a date with you." I roll my eyes about to push him into the dirt but he bends down and presses his lips to mine. My lips melted into sync with his. No matter how much we tried Jesse and I weren't destined to just be friends. He was my soulmate. My twin flame my everything.

"Jesse." I whisper breathlessly as we break apart for air. He puts a finger to my lips shushing my as he makes our foreheads touch.

"I thought I lost you val, I woke up and you wernt there and you went to him-" My heart clenched. I brush a finger along his cheeks.

"Dont." I hug him tightly. "Dont act like im not here. Im here Right here." I grab his hand and move it to my heart. "Im here."

I know my family loves me. but they see me as the same little girl crying in the dirt with her stuff animal. They dont SEE me. they dont know ME. Jesse does. I cling to him like glue scared his disapproval will hurt me in the long run.
