Alexandra's POV
I was still nervous but I had to press on. Everyone started to show up in the backyard. I held my daughter's hand. It was more for me than her. I remember how my own pack used to be when we had a meeting behind the pack house. My dad would be making sure everything was secure. He wanted everything to be top notch in his pack. Safety was his first priority. He loved having his whole pack family to be together. He also loved talking to everyone he saw.
My mom helped prepare the food and got all the kids their favorite dessert. She always loved talking to the new mothers of the pack. She liked seeing the new pups. She would laugh as her own kids were in trouble for making a mess. She always told my dad it was okay. We are a big family after all. She loved the image of a big family and here it was for everyone. It was the one thing that got her through the busy day since decorations and everything had to be clean.
There was Kayla who got teased by the whole family. Everyone thought she looked so cute and upset. She would try to get revenge and it was sometimes the funnest payback there ever was. For some reason she would always throw dessert in someone's face. The poor dessert never made it through an hour. The younger pups loved it and made a new tradition even when we grew up. It's what made us all connected in our pack traditions. It was fair to this day.
I mean if they kept that up since I have been gone. Isaiah was different throughout the time. Before he would be joking with Kayla and making a food fight. It was the best part of the night. When he was going to be alpha he became serious and even stayed by my father making sure everything was in order even as his assistant. It was a learning experience for him. By that time I liked how he was mature and how Kayla messed up his hair every event since then.
Seeing them arguing as Antonio was stuck in his own world. He never wanted to be a part of the violence we called fun. He only did a few things when he knew it was safe. If it wasn't there was no way he would be a part of that. He liked being more safe when having fun. It was a miracle that we never scared him off as pups because we were crazy and very wild like wolves. He was friends with Kayla and Isaiah in their feud along with everyone else. He sometimes started it.
I missed how he was always sitting next to Tony who loved playing baseball with the other guys. We had sports going on so the pups had stuff to do throughout the whole night. The whole delta family would set it up and their family loved the competition of being together and playing their favorite sports. It was the biggest thing that their family would do. Baseball was their family sport and I remember growing up and playing with them. They were such a close family it was cute.
Clare would be going around and cheering the teams. She made sure that there was no cheating. She would keep the score and even play when there was an uneven amount of players. She would be into the conversation with any moms. She loved being in family conversations. I mean she did have three sons. Her son was my mate too so I got along with her very well. It was the best thing of having her around when we had a pack meet.
Albert was also trying to set everything up for sports. They were so into the happiness of kids. They were such a cute and caring family and the whole pack loved the events they set up for the pups. As a kid it was the only thing I was looking forward to. I loved playing soccer and playing hide and seek. We kept that tradition up as well since we do that everytime the whole pack is in one place. It was the funniest thing that we could ever do together as a whole pack.Cain was usually trying to annoy his brothers and run away at any sign they wanted to catch him. Caleb would be the responsible one who tried to stop us from fighting. I always wanted to see how he behaved as a father. Maven would have had me spoiling her just like Tessa would be spoiling Harmony. I would have loved to set up playdates.I wonder if anyone back home had their own pups. I wanted to see if they made our family bigger.
Me and Harmony walked outside in the backyard once we opened the doors. We followed Kai to the center of the pack. Kelsey and Amber joined the pack. "This is my mate, her name is not known for it is anonymous for certain reasons. Her daughter Harmony will be a member of our pack. We will protect them at all costs. Harmony will join us tonight as we begin the ceremony" said Kai. He talked and we stood in silence. That's why we were wearing white dresses.
Kai transformed as the sun was setting. His dark wolf stood beside us. His clothes ripped apart as his fur showed. He stood next to us tall and proud. He turned to Harmony and sniffed her. Kai bowed down to her. Harmoney did the same. I watched as they trailed each other. He was leaving his scent on her. They stopped and both bowed again. Harmony learned well.
Amber and Kelsey may have taught her this when I was getting reading. I was glad to see her doing this. Instead of bowing again he licked her forehead as she giggled. He just sealed his fate as her guardian and protector just like I asked. Kai looked at me and nodded his wolf head. At this moment I knew Harmony was safe and Honey was a little more appreciative of our mate.
