"em." sadie peered round the corner of her sisters bedroom, seeing the older girl lying on her bed, quickly pulling herself inside and shutting the door behind her which caught the girls attention.

"sades." ember nodded in acknowledgement, barely glancing up from her phone as she felt the end of her bed dip whilst her younger sister sat down.

"very serious question." the youngest powles sibling began, watching the way ember's head shot up and she raised an eyebrow. it was quite rare for sadie to ask her siblings for things but when she did they were either scandalous or expensive.

the last time she told toby she had to ask him a very serious question she was asking to be driven from boston to chicago so that she could go to a concert.

he was most certainly not impressed and he was most certainly bribed against his will. sadie knew how to be persuasive with her siblings. she knew what they liked and how to get on their good side.

"i potentially have a very serious answer." ember placed her phone down beside her, ignoring the notifications from her boyfriend.

"i need you to cover for me." sadie blurted out immediately, pulling her lip between her teeth before plastering on a sweet smile. she had to play this right, her dad would never let her go out if she asked to go stay with three strangers overnight, she needed ember to drive her because she would be the only person okay with no other girls being there and she needed a plausible alibi for not being at home. toby would be able to cover for her to a certain extent - but she wouldn't be able to tell him the whole story. and she loved to gossip with her sister.

"gasp." ember opened her mouth in mock shock, a small smirk playing at the corner of her lips as she began to let her brain think up what she would ask for out of this. of course she would cover for the girl. there were an insane amount of times when she was younger that she wished someone could've covered for her so she didn't get told off after doing all these things and now she could be that cool older sister for sadie.

"okay hold up." the girl sat up even straighter, ignoring her sisters eye roll. "sadie in her rebellion era." she sung out in a taunting tone, tapping her fingers along the back of her phone, her acrylics creating a tapping sound that echoed throughout the room during the moments of silence.

"shut up." sadie laughed, pulling the sleeves of her broken planet jumper over her fingers, turning them into sweater paws as she figured out how she was going to lead into this plan. it was quite weird when you worded it how it was. that the girl wanted to sneak out to stay round the house of a guy she had spoken to once two minutes prior and met online. but he was nick. so it was harmless.

"sorry who is asking who for a favour?" ember taunted with the click of her tongue. "if you wanna keep this attitude up i'm sure toby would feel honoured to help." she teased, the large smile on her face absolutely giving away the fact that she was lying through her teeth. but she couldn't help it. as the youngest, sadie was so easy to wind up. "maybe i'll even tell dad-"
