HALF THE WORLD AWAY
"you are so goddamn annoying!" sadie groaned throwing her head forwards into her hands that were rested upon her elbows and on the island in the kitchen.clearly when her gut had told her that she didn't want to come to her dads she should've listened to it, because it had only been three hours and they were already arguing. once again just the two of them because toby and ember had run off a long time ago to partake in their own activities for the duration of the trip.
"don't you raise your voice at me!" gary glared at the girl watching her mouth drop open and her eyes widen before she took a deep breath, standing up and removing herself from the situation at hand.
"i'm done i am done." she whispered lowly, beginning her route to the stairs.
"drop the attitude sadie. it's disgusting."
it was just too much. all of it was too much for the girl to handle and so she ran up the stairs, slamming her bedroom door shut and locking it immediately after. she walked into her en-suite, shut her phone off and jumped in the shower until the water was stinging her eyes and she felt as though she had racked up an extremely high water bill.
and of course once she was out of the shower and in comfortable clothes, she opened the facetime app to proceed with the only activity that would get her through the next week of her life.
"sadie!" maisie cheered accepting the facetime call on the third ring, pausing ur excitement when she saw how her best friend was wrapped in a pair of plaid pyjama pants, an oversized hoodie with the hood up and mascara streaks down her face whilst lying on her bed. "baby what's wrong?"
"i just cannot be bothered anymore." the brunette shook her head, clutching her arm underneath her pillow. "i hate it here." she muttered face down making it slightly difficult for what she was saying to be heard.
"what's happened?" maisie furrowed her eyebrows, her camera shaking slightly as she stood up - walking to her bedroom door to close it swiftly followed up by locking it. no matter how much sadie felt comfortable with the girl's family - the drama with her dad was something she never shared with anyone, and if she did share she for certain didn't want anyone over hearing.
"what do you think?" sadie scoffed picking her head up and resting on her cheek, rolling her eyes as she sniffled. "the same as usual." the girl started picking at a loose thread on her pillow case to distract herself.
"toby went out with his mates, ember went to her room and called jack and my dad acted like i'd just asked to run away with the circus when i asked if i could go to the store." it was incredibly infuriating for the girl but she never knew how to go about the situation.
