a broken family

A broken glass family,

Fragile and worn,

Their once shiny exterior,

Now shattered and torn.

Each shard a reminder,

Of the past they once knew,

But now they're just fragments,

Of a life they can't renew.

They used to be whole,

A sparkling, perfect team,

But something went awry,

And shattered their dream.

Now they tiptoe around,

Avoiding each other's gaze,

Afraid to cut themselves,

On the brokenness that stays.

But amidst the shards and splinters,

There's still hope to be found,

If they're willing to come together,

And work to rebuild the ground.

It won't be easy,

And the scars will still remain,

But a broken glass family,

Can still shine bright again.
