Sloane's Scythe & Sword
The scythe was made for the Titaness of death. It has Sloane's magic infused into it. So when she uses it, it connects to her and uses her magic to help with whatever she's fighting. This only works for her and her children since they are truly the only commanders of death. Meaning, the blade will disappear for anyone other than them.
The blade was created by Shane for her. It is infused with his magic but it also connects to hers. It will create a shield around whoever wields it and will send out a distress signal to Shane when used. Only Selene, Shane, and her children can use this since it's from Shane. Meaning, the blade will disappear if anyone else tries to use it.

Both weapons were made for Titan of the Gods. Both weapons have his magic woven into them. So when he uses them, it connects to him and uses his magic to help with whatever he's fighting.
