Chapter 4

Klara's POV

I went through the backdoor of the bar since the bar isn't open yet til 2 pm, I felt uneasy about everything. Will Magi show up? I set the curtains aside and I saw Manager Rosa organizing some papers for our upcoming trip, "Hey Goodmorning," I greeted as I set my luggage down "Goodmorning Klara, you're earlier than everyone today." Manager Rosa smiled "Do you think Maxine will show up?" I sighed and sat down on one of the crates. "Well let's just hope she does, if she doesn't then she just ruined an opportunity for Paige Six. You know I just want the best for you guys." Manager Rosa said as she kept organizing papers, I looked down on my hands and I never realized how much I was shaking. "La la la la la la~" I hear a voice coming from outside the curtain getting louder as it gets closer. The curtains were set aside and there I saw Mason and Violet, "Goodmorning peeps!" Violet greeted "Goodmorning both of you." Manager Rosa greeted them with a smile, "Hey." I greeted as well. "Uh I think the bus is here already, there was a bus outside. Shall we go?" Mason asked as he stretched.

"Oh shit they're here already?" Manager Rosa rushed organizing papers and put them in one folder. I looked at Violet who was smiling at first but then frowned "Maxine's not here yet isn't she." Violet looked disappointed and scared "No, no not yet." I looked down on my lap. We were all silent and just looked at each other, I was kind of expecting she wouldn't show since her favorite band is playing here in LA. I just wish I didn't get my hopes up, "Well you can play the bass as well anyway so I guess you just have to play her part." Mason crossed his arms, "Yes, but it's still better if Maxine played the bass for us." I scoffed "Alright everyone grab your luggages and I guess we're going on a trip to Florida without Maxine." Manager Rosa sighed as she exited the curtains, I sighed as I stood up and grab my luggages and walked past Mason and Vi.

We got out of the bar and the bus is indeed here, it was a long bus but it was only the four of us who will ride it. I admired the beauty of the bus since it's my first time going in one, I always walk everywhere I go since I don't have the money for anything. That's why going on this trip is important to me. The seats were polished leather seats with tables on every section, We got on the first 2 pairs of seats since it was too far to go to the back and I can't carry my luggages any longer. "Hey, we got this. Let's just take home something for Maxine." Mason held out his fist waiting for a fist bump, "Yeah." I smiled and bumped his fist with mine.

"Everybody ready?" Manager Rosa asked "Yes ma'am" Violet said. "It's a 37 hour drive so make sure you have snacks with you, we will be stopping over at every state but if you need to use the restroom please let me know ahead of time. Rehearse the song Klara, you'll be singing and playing the bass this week since Maxine isn't here. I have snacks here if you guys need to eat." Manager Rosa explained "I think we're ready to go" she whispered to the bus driver, the bus driver nodded and took off. It wasn't that long til I fell asleep since it was still dark and I didn't really sleep... I just wished Maxine was with us.
