FALLON WOKE UP BEFORE DAMON, SURPRISINGLY. He looked peaceful, his face buried in the pillows of her bed. It was like whatever normally plagued his mind during the hours of daylight, were no longer swallowing him up into the abyss of his own self-destruction.
Quietly, Fallon got up and turned the TV on to hear the news and grabbed a towel. She made her way into her bathroom and left the door open slightly so she could still hear what was being said on the TV when in the shower.
Once she was done, she wrapped herself up in a towel and stepped out of her bathroom to get some clothes. When Fallon stepped through the doorway, she noticed that Damon had woken up and was now sitting up in her bed.
"Hey." Fallon said to him with a smile, holding onto her towel. She didn't want to bring up the events of last night, afraid that he'd shut off and run away from it. That was the last thing Fallon wanted; it was a good step for him to give her a glance at what happens behind his closed doors.
Damon's eyes glanced over her for a minute before he responded.
"Hi." He said. Last night still affected him, apparently. What also didn't help was the fact that now they were talking about the woman that Damon killed last night in the news.
Hurrying to find the remote control, Fallon switched off the news and turned to him with an apologetic look. "Sorry." She mumbled.
Damon shook his head. "It's fine." He said and then he looked wistfully at her shower. "Do you mind if I, uh..." He trails off, gesturing to her shower.
"Oh! Yeah, go for it." Fallon said with wide eyes before she gets him a towel. He accepts the towel from her hands and walks into her bathroom. Fallon's eyes follow him apprehensively, analysing his every move. She was trying to read him, if he was bothered by what they talked about, and wanted nothing more than to know what he thought about how close they were.
Sighing, Fallon got changed and she dried her hair, making sure that her curls weren't too tangled before pinning her hair out of her face.
A few minutes later, Damon came out of her shower with a towel wrapped around his waist. It was the first time she's seen him semi-naked and she wasn't disappointed, to say the least.
His sculpted muscles were shining because of the wetness of his shower, and his abs glistened in the morning light. Every time he reached up to run a hand through his wet hair, his arms flexed, making Fallon almost melt at the sight.
Holy Jesus, mother of Mary. She thought. He was beautiful. Everything about him was beautiful. It was so easy to imagine running her fingers over every inch of his body...
Snapping herself out of it, she gave him a tight smile.
"I'll let you get yourself sorted. I'm sure you'll want to go home and get fresh clothes." Fallon says, her knees creaking as she stood up.
