"Wait, so, meanwhile back at the ranch," Kim brought Lottie back from her daydreaming. "You brought your cookies all the way to the beach and he didn't lay a hand on you?!" She was shocked.
"He was a gentleman!" Lottie defended, the way Yoongi had treated ser such a high standard, she wasn't going to let him be called a creep.
"He sounds like a creep, a drag!" Kim went back to eating her food.
"He sure sounds better than the deadbeats from around here," Miyeon looks back with disgust at the table full of boys behind her.
"Hey four-eyes!" A random guy yelled in their direction, clearly targeting Miyeon's new glasses.
"Stuff it, dirt bag!" She yelled back, quickly regaining her composure.
Nayeon rolled her eyes and linked her arm with Lottie's, "I think it's romantic! Did it really have to end?" She asked with a pout, Lottie's summer fling sounded like something out of a radio novella, a true knight in shining armor.
Lottie sighed, the memories were so sweet, her summer felt like the most wonderful dream; she thought about what could've been if they had continued the relationship, especially if she had actually gone back to the U.S. Continuing their little fling may have been good at first, but then she thought of the ending, being that far away, letters can get lost, or he could find someone else. That thought alone had her feeling down in the dumps, she wanted to only have good memories attached to what she thought was the best summer of her short life.
"It just wouldn't have worked out, so many things could happen and I'd rather just leave with the happy memories, you know?" Lottie explained briefly, Nayeon nodded, the other girls looked at her with a bit of sadness, they could all tell how much this guy meant to her.
Meanwhile, Yoongi's friends were asking him all kinds of questions about his summer. Yoongi couldn't bring himself to tell them the truth, that he was head over heels for the chick he met at the beach. So, he exaggerated, he made it seem like they had done a lot more than what had actually happened, telling them they had gone all the way in all kinds of places, when the reality is, Yoongi had all but gone soft for this girl. Lying was not something he wanted to do, but he had a reputation to protect.
"So, does she have a friend you can introduce me to hyung?" Hobi asked him, taking him out of his thoughts, the cat eyed boy rolled his eyes and chuckled humorlessly.
"If you used half of your brain as much as your dick Lee would leave you alone, you know?" He admitted, making Hobi punch him in the arm.
"So, you just told her that you'd still be friends? Have you even written to her since she left?" Jin asked him, giggling whilst leaning his head on his fist.
"No, I haven't hyung, you know how it is! I'm not going to get stuck on one broad," Yoongi dismissed the older, getting up to go to the edge of bleachers to light up a cigarette.
"I don't know, you talked about her for a good while, and I've never heard of the Min Yoongi necking it with just one chick," Jin explained it further.
"I mean, I guess I do wonder how she's doing, what she's doing right now," he admitted, his voice was very soft, if Jin hadn't been directly talking to him he wouldn't have heard it.
The oldest let it go after that, the group engaged in a different conversation and they teased each other like they usually did, but what Jin said left Yoongi thinking, his heartbeat spiked just thinking back to the summer, and in a way, he couldn't wait for next one, hopefully she'd be there, that's what they had discussed anyway.

After lunch, the girls were walking to their next class. Still discussing Lottie's escapades and her mystery beach boy.
"So, what's this guy's name anyway? You talk a great deal about him so you must know his name!" Jiyoon asked her as they walked.
"Yoongi, his name is Min Yoongi," saying his name made her get the zorros all over again.
The girls on the otherhand gasped, Miyeon and Jiyoon immediately giggling, only to be shushed by Kim.
"Well, I think that's a wonderful name!" She said in a sweet tone, but Lottie didn't pick up on the slight sarcasm in her voice. "And did you ever get around to asking this, Min Yoongi, where he went to school?" She asked.
"He goes to some fancy boarding school, he's an honor's student!" Lottie answered with a smile, proud of him even from far away.
"Well, ring-a-ding-ding! I think he sounds peachy keen, and who knows!" The leader walked to her, pulling her sunglasses up to rest on her head, "if you believe in one of those, fairytales, Prince Charming may show up again soon, maybe even somewhere where you least expect it!" Kim assured her with a tight smile, "let's go girls," she pulled her shades back down to cover her eyes, Miyeon and Jiyoon followed their leader, and Nayeon stayed behind with Lottie.
"Do you really think that's true, Nayeonie?" She asked her friend with hope in her eyes.
Nayeon knowing what she knew hated that look, Yoongi had the reputation of being a player, on top being the leader of the T-Birds, and the last thing she wanted was for Lottie to be heart broken. "Sure," she giggled nervously, "we should head to class Lottie, come on," she linked their arms together as they walked to their next class.
Kim's words had been such an encouragement to Lottie. She spent the next few hours of class daydreaming about her guy, the dreamboat that had swooped her off her feet. She thought of how wonderful it would be if they reunited once more, how wonderful it would be to be in his arms again, to have him serenade her, and to talk about all the books he had to read. Gosh, if it wasn't because she had to pay attention she would be doing anything but writing notes.
How she would love to just see him, even if just for a moment.
