~~☆ Asian String Beans ☆ ~~
-1 pound bag string beans (adjust according to serving size)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 c vegetable oil
- 2 1/2 tbsp Garlic Chunks (Jar garlic works just as well as fresh. Fresh garlic is stronger)
- Optional garnishes: Pepper flakes, toasted sesame seedsMake it:
1. Snap tough end of beans, or cut. Either works. Snap in half if they are very long.
2. Heat oil over medium heat.
3. Work in batches to cook each bean completely. Fry them for 2 minuets, or until the beans start to wrinkle on the outside. Strain them, and set them to the side on a paper towel. Repeat until all beans are cooked.
4. Pour used oil into a bowl. Careful it is hot. Do not wipe the pan clean. use the remaining oil to fry your garlic.
5. Heat wok over medium high heat. Add garlic chunks, and cook it for about 30 second to 1 minuet. Add beans to pan, and cook for another minuet. Transfer to a serving dish of choice, add garnish if wanted, and enjoy.
