Lei'wa's pov: The sullys have been here for a couple weeks. Everyone is used to seeing them around. I haven't talked to anyone other then Lo'ak for the past couple of weeks. "Everybody, our brothers and sisters have returned!" Tsireya shouts, loud enough to get everyone's attention. Everyone starts running to get into the water. I go to my ilu and get ready to go see Payakan when Lo'ak comes. "Where're you going?" He asked. "I can't say it here but," I whisper. "I'm going outside the reef to see my tulkun. Payakan." I watched his eyes widen when I told him. "Payakan? Isn't that the thing that killed your mother?" He asked, sounding a bit more concerned. "Yes it is but ," I stop talking. "Just come with me and you'll see if you're up for it." I say, looking around making sure no one was eavesdropping. "Ok. Let's go." He replyed. Lo'ak calls his Ilu and we start to head outside the reef. Just as we plung into the water, I see Rotxo, Neteyam, Tsireya, and Aonung. Waiting for us to leave to follow us. Lo'ak and I come from under water. "They're following us." We both say. "Lei'wa, stop! Don't go! He is outcast, you'll get in trouble!" Tsireya yells. I go back under water because we're closer to Payakan now. We find Payakan and the others hide behind some overgrown sea leaves.
I sign to Lo'ak. "If you're ok with it, we will bond with him. Together." He nods. Payakan opens his mouth and I swim inside first. Lo'ak second. As Payakan closes his mouth, it starts to glow inside.
We connected with him and saw everything that had happened. Everything.
Lo'ak hugs Payakan. I look under the water again to find the others gone. I come back up. "They're gone." Lo'ak looks at me. "We're going to be in so much trouble." I say, as Lo'ak continues hugging Payakan. Payakan goes back to whatever he was doing before and me and Lo'ak call our ilu. As soon as we get back to land. Tonowari, Ronal, Tsireya, Aonung, and Neteyam are waiting there. Tonowari drags me by the arm to discuss what had happened. Neteyam did the same thing with Lo'ak. Ronal began to shout at me. "You aloud this?" She starts. "You aloud him to bond with the outcast?" Tonowari starts next. "Lei'wa," I look up at him. Knowing what's coming out next. "You disappoint me, girl." My ears go down. But back up again when Tonowari starts to yell at Lo'ak. "And you, son of a great warrior who should know better." Lo'ak looks at me. Then down. "It's not his fault." I blurt out. "What?" Tonowari asks. "It is not Lo'ak's fault. I talked him into it." Ronal grabs my arm and takes me somewhere else so Tonowari can yell at the others for not reporting to him immediately. After that is over, she takes me back to the place where the others were. Jake and Neytiri come along. "They're coming. The sky people are coming!" Tonowari says to start war but Jake explains to him that it is not a good idea.
Jake explains that if Tulkun are hit by the red thingy. That they're marked for death. I leave to go find Payakan again. "No way you're leaving again. You're already in a lot of trouble." Aonung says, walking up with Neteyam and Tsireya by his side. Tsireya comes up to me and takes my hand. "Then who will warn Payakan about the red things." I ask. "They're called pingers." Neteyam corrected me. "Pingers." I repeat after him. "No one because no one cares for him. He is outcast." Aonung says, like its normal to say those rude words. "I care." I say, looking up at Aonung, upset that he would say that no one cared. "Why do you care?" He asks, moving Tsireya hand from mine and grabbing my arm. "Because I actually learn to get along with other things and people. Unlike you who doesn't try to." I try to remove his hand from my arm. "You're not going." His grip becomes tighter. "Hey." Lo'ak says. Neteyam turns around. "Back off, fish lips." Lo'ak says. "Oh well if it isn't the other four fingered freak." Aonung says, letting go of my arm and pointing to Lo'ak's hands. Lo'ak calls his ilu and grabs my hand. We dive into the water and on his ilu to go find Payakan, the others going to tell Tonowari. Neteyam standing there glaring at me.
Lo'ak's pov: We finally find Payakan. He moans. "What is it? What's wrong?" I watch Lei'wa sign. Payakan turns to the side and he has a pinger on his side. "Oh my Eywa." Lei'wa says, getting off my ilu to help Payakan. "Lo'ak call for your father. I see the demon ship!" I hurry to call my father. "Dad we're with Payakan. He has a pinger in him. Killer ships in bound." I say. "Get to cover. Do not engage, we're coming!" My father says. By the time im done talking to him. Lei'wa's already gotten the pinger out and thrown it toward the killer ship. "Dive. Go on, dive" She sign to Payakan. "Lo'ak, I need you to take a deep breath and just trust me." I nod. I take a deep breath and we go under water. We weren't expecting them to have vehicles for the water. We got captured. In a net. A net. I watch as they make Lei'wa tie her hands to the railing of the boat. They do the same with me. But they point a gun to her head once everyone is seen coming this way, toward us. I see my father. Neteyam, and my Mom. Tuk and Kiri must've stayed.
Lei'wa's pov: We got captured. I currently have a gun to my head being threatened for the trigger to be pulled if Jake didn't come out. "You've got ten seconds corporal. Then I pull the trigger." I see Jake put his gun down. "Hold on i'm coming out just, give me a second." The man starts to count down. "10..9..8..7..6..5..4..3," The man is cut off by a dark shadow in the sky. It's Payakan
