accustoming to my new life

[a few months later]

Cyno POV:

"How long has it been since our graduation?," I ask, raising my hand towards the stary sky above.

"About 3 weeks i believe, why do you ask?," tighnari replied lifting his hand up next to mine.

"I Dunno...it feels like it was only yesterday is all...its crazy how fast time has gone by....," I continue on, taking his hand in mine, interlocking our fingers and laying our hands back down in between us.

"Heh...It is isn't it...its almost surreal...," Tighnari replies turning to me with a smile.

I smile back at him as i lean over and kiss him on the forehead.

"I love you"

A light blush covers his face as he giggles a little and nuzzles our noses together, "i love u too."

"Hey love birds! Get down from their!  Dinner is almost ready!," Collei yells out from tighnari's bedroom window.

"Be there in a sec!," Tighnari calls back, as he sits up, "well you heard the chef, lets get going."

"Okay, let me pick this up first you head on ahead," i reply picking myself off

"Are you sure?"

I nod as i fold the blanket over my arm.

"Oh Okay," he smiles, giving me a kiss on the cheek before carefully making his way off the roof and through his window.

I stand there for a bit looking up at the ethereal view displayed before me.

The stars sparkling, the sky a deep blue, the feeling of the cool breeze hitting my face.

I was

At peace...

It'll take some time to get accustomed to this feeling, but thats okay.

I smile, taking a deep sigh of relief.

I can finally breathe again...

"Cyno cmon! Hurry your but over here or ill feed your food to karkata!," I hear collei yell out to me.

"Alright alright I'm coming!," i chuckle as i carefully climbed down, "so, whats for dinner?"

The next day i headed off to work, and being a graduate, i was finally able to just focus on my job and not worry about exams or any of that bullshit, it's a nice change of pace if you ask me.

"Mr. Adil i finished stocking up the isles, i can take over from here," i announce wiping sweat off my forehead.

Mr Adil thanks me and hands me a cold soda.

"Todays a slow day, so take it easy untol your shift ends," he continues on, taking a sip from his soda.

"Thanks but you should take a break, unlike me, you and Mr. Elrod work all week including the weekends," i reply taking a sip from mine.

He lets out a chuckle as he places his empty soda can on the counter, "i appreciate your concern my dear boy, but if we all take a break around here than who's gonna run the shop?"

We continued on having small talk for a while until one of my coworkers walked in to take over the afternoon shift.

"Hey spring! How was school? You wanna drink?," Mr adil asks calling out to the curly haired boy who was setting his bag down on the counter.
