just a peck

Oh were the gods against me. Just about 30 minutes later, it started storming so much! I could hear the thunder from outside the window. "How am I supposed to sleep now..?" I spoke, sounding extremely terrified. I ABSOLUTELY HATE the dark, especially when thunderstorms happen. Once when I was a kid, it started thunder storming so much outside. I hid under everything I could and blocked my ears. It felt like I was traumatized by the sound, I don't know why. "Ok ok, I can get back into bed and try to sleep." I thought before returning back to bed. I could've never been more wrong.. Just 10 minutes in, I heard thunder striking close to the estate. It made me jump. I don't know why but, hearing the sound makes me want to bury myself and cry. I didn't want to be like a baby and cry like that so I just blocked my ears, also trying to count the sheep and closing my eyes to sleep.

After an hour, I just couldn't do it anymore. I couldn't sleep, it was thunder-storming, I was on the verge of crying, it was dark— everything was bad! I remembered Ayaka told me that if I needed anything, I could come in her room.. but I don't wanna disrupt her sleeping because of me. "Huh..." I sighed.

I walked out of the room and stood outside of Ayaka's room. I tried opening the wooden door as quietly as possible. I managed to sneak inside the room with out her waking up. I crawled onto the bed and did a little rearranging with the pillow. I looked over at Ayaka to see her sleeping, I stroked away the hair strand that was in front of her face. "Somehow you've already stole my heart..." I thought..

(This is so cheesy I'm sorry 😭)

I suddenly realized that I shouldn't be touching her with out consent, I jumped right back to my spot, on the other side of the bed. It felt better having someone..
I snuggled near Ayaka, I didn't touch her though. After a while, I felt my eyes getting blurry, I soon fell asleep.

Ayaka's POV:

I suddenly woke up to the sound of a thunderstorm striking. I looked at the clock. '1 A.M.' it said. I was looking around the room, it was pitch black. I was trying to find my phone. I used the flashlight to see better. When I turned the phone flashlight next to me, I saw something I well hadn't expected, "Yoimiya?" I thought. It looked like she had just cried. I stroked the hair had covered her face, she looked.. somewhat... beautiful.. I really couldn't get my eyes off of her.. "We've only met for a few days.. it wouldn't hurt, right?" I asked myself. I lifted up her bangs and gave her a just a little peck on the forehead. I smiled at her beauty right afterwards.. I looked like a creep smiling at her like that! I just couldn't resist..

I turned around, back onto my spot. I simply whispered Yoimiya a goodnight even though she was already asleep and smiled before drifting off to sleep.

So. I'm sorry for being gone for a month without any updates. I was too focused on school as it was the end of the school year. I barely got time to type so this chapter was very rushed and short. I hope you'll forgive me, I'll start trying to update more often. Bye byeee!
