Rewritten by Rayleigh
One day in chilling winter, the ants endeavored to dry their corn: after it was moistened from a particularly heavy rain. A grasshopper approached the working ants with caution in its steps.
The grasshopper upon reaching the ant, she beseeched them, saying: "Might I have just a morsel of grain, for I am withering away from hunger." The ants lingered but for a moment to look at the grasshopper.
"Might we inquire why you don't have your own stores: what has thou done this past summer? Has thou not gathered for the cold of winter when food is scarce?" The ants inquire in a mocking tone.
"The Truth of the matter is," The grasshopper spoke sheepishly, "That I sang all summer that there was no time for collecting food."
The ants laughed at the grasshopper and returned to their work, "There for since you tarried so long, sing the summer away: why don't you pass this cold and lonesome winter dancing." They left the grasshopper to continue their grueling but worthwhile work.
